Coming off two solid performances I didn't want to go into this brawl with a pessimistic mindset, but I knew the shoe would have to drop eventually. That worry, combined with the highly ranked Guilds we were slated to go up against had me hoping this wouldn't be a sad report to write...

Everyone brings the big gun!

There was just a discussion on the PIZZA discord about using Quora in the first position versus the middle of the pack when I came across this battle 😀 Unless it is a low mana fight and Quora is one of the few cards I play, I tend to play it as I did here. I lose a couple of rounds of her melee attack, but my strategy is to pad her stats with a kill or two before she hits the front row. My other hope is that my opponent's larger tank i disposed of before she makes it to the front to hopefully keep her raking up those Bloodlust buffs. This wasn't the perfect example as the Equal Opportunity ruleset meant she could attack from the middle of the pack, but I still think hiding here from the front was a solid choice here.

😐😐 3—3. Batting .500 up against the caliber we were facing isn't bad! 😐😐

The Calzones are still consistently pulling over 100 points. This time the winner only managed 159 so we are pulling our weight in tier 2. I lost my streak of staying on the positive side of the winning percentage, but I'll take this result. I went up against some strong teams and came out looking okay.

I've hit a bit of a rut on where I want to next upgrade my deck. Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of wants and needs, I'm just not sure where I want to focus. It's a good problem to have. I'm happy where I stand and cannot decide where my next investments will have the most payout? If I keep opening Gladius cases like this however, I won't have to worry about getting the most CP bang for my buck 😀 I like Bayne and at level two he gains a melee attack mamking him even more of a brute!
