RE: Splinterlands rental ROIs > 50% possible? Why I maxed out a gold foil Scavo Chemist

This is a good write-up but there is a key factor you may have overlooked...

The timing of this write-up coincides with day 5 of the season... so a lot of Rentals are cycling through their period from when people rented them EoS (5-7 days) and 8ish days left...

What happens is:

During 1st rental cycle, price drop... however, as rentals expire - they'll get snapped up by players trying to snag them for EoS or close enough to EoS so they can renew them (hoping the owner doesn't manage their rentals well).

This leads to a large increase in Rental Prices around this time period and then they settle down again...

Example: During the first few days, my L6 (Max) Epics will rent for ~ 9 DEC, my L10 (Max) GF Pelacor Merc rents for ~ 13.

Today, my Pelacor Merc is the LOWEST L10 GF that's on the RM and it's 100 DEC/d while my Epics are looking like 27-30 DEC/d...

They'll go back down for a few days and then go nuts ~ 3 days from EoS

It's important to note these price fluctuations in your RoA-B% calcs and I have no idea how to track this other than a spreadsheet...

Lava Launcher Epic L6 (Bulk) Rental Rate - rough example numbers from last season rental

Day 1: 9
Day 2: 9
Day 3: 9
Day 4: 9
Day 5: 9
Day 6: 9
Day 7: 0 (reset)
Day 8: 28
Day 9: 28
Day 10: 12
Day 11: 29
Day 12: 0 (reset)
Day 13: 65
Eos: 85
Season Total: 301
Yearly Total (Total * 26): 7,826 DEC or $25.43 at current DEC prices
$ Price of Card: $27.60 using $.6/BCX as avg bid win * 46 BCX (8,492 DEC).
Est RoA%B = 7,826DEC/8,492DEC = 92%!

Thanks for the thoughtful reply! Makes a lot of sense. Wish there was a way to track rental prices over time the same way there is for sell prices. I'll keep an eye on the fluctuations on my side as well - thanks for the tip.
