Splinterlands Praetoria Land Update Ep2 - 12-19-2023

Good morning Splinterlandians!!

There have been some big shifts in the Land Market lately with the release of the latest Whitepaper!!

First - let me just point out how hilarious it is that @yabapmatt and @aggroed at @splinterlands decided to make a "Negative Modifier" game mechanic for Land 2.0 that will require work/resources to reduce it... and call it SALT 🤣

Ahhh yes... Salt... Refined directly from the tears of the Mavs themselves 😂😂😂😂

Personally, I think that is incredibly funny as it could have been named anything... but with the Bear Market Blues... Let me be the first to say... Many, many Mavs were/are Salty that Splinterlands hasn't made us all rich overnight with their magic internet money...

I mean... The typical Discord comment looked something like "What is taking so long guys, can't you do anything right?!?!?! Arrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." every time an update happened... or didn't happen... it's not like the Bear Market affected them as much or MORE than us... due to scale...

So what do they do in response - name a game mechanic after us 😂😂😂

However!! It is IMPORTANT INFO!!! If you haven't been paying attention, the price of Common Magical Plots... HAS DOUBLED in the last week or so and I'm betting that's mostly due to the Land 2.0 Mechanics being revealed!!!!

We covered:

• Final Keep found in Shawdowvale (R138)!
• Virren (R139) Tract 1 Claimed/Surveyed and TWO EPIC OCCUPIED PLOTS found!
• Doom Edin (R140) is the next available region and deer3 is the owner of the sole remaining Region Claim (and he hasn't donated it to me, shame 😢 )
• Virren (R139) Tract 2 was next available tract
• Shadowvale (R138) Tract 10 Plot 54 was next available Plot

Today let's see what developments we have!!

A minor update for Shadowvale (R138) as we have seen the claiming and surveying of several plots, making the next available plot R138 T10 Plot 57!

Fun side note, the owner of R138T10 Plot 56 is my new neighbor 🙌 the little green arrow denotes my Rare Natty Lake Plot in Shadowvale

Howdy neighbor!! @arrg47bas73rd - which I am guessing is "Arrogant Bastard" but with some l337 spelling thrown in from the good ol' days.

Congrats on your Rare Lake, we have that in common too 😄

However, this news is minor compared to...

THE NEW TRACT CLAIM IN R139 VIRREN!!!

Well hellooooooooo there @housewifeftw and congrats on claiming your shiny new UNSURVEYED Tract!!!

What wonders does it hold?!?!

Will it have a Keep? A CASTLE?!? Legendary Occupied Plot?!?!

The world of Praetoria waits anxiously to see!!

Regardless of when it is surveyed, housewifeftw is sitting on the newest Tract in Praetoria:

R139 Virren, Tract 2 is all hers!! I personally hope you get a kickass Tract and GOOD LUCK!!

I am not able to take a closer look as Survey Parties haven't cleared the new land just yet - once I am able to do so, I will report back!!
