Well, my addiction to buying gold cards has won again. Even though im trying to curb my appetite i couldnt resist myself. I think the Boogeyman at least was a decent a decent price. Looks cool, seems useful. The Haunted Spider has poison and seems to be an often used card. The Feral Cat is one of the 1st cards i remember seeing and at a level 4 has 2 melee damage with quick speed, but low health. Lets take a quick look at all 3.

BOOGEYMAN

  • Looks like a badass card imo. Ive seen it in use a few times. Had the slow down ability at this level, but low speed, although has 2 magic damage.

  • Heres current market prices on the basic location. I may have gotten a deal on this guy at $16, dam i cant remember exactly. Maybe was $23. I know it was better than all these current prices listed here, so i got it.

HAUNTED SPIDER

  • I don't have many cards that offer the poison ability and feel like ive gotten beaten many times by this little spider.

  • Heres list of prices, but i once again did not take a pic at the time. My gambling rush was in full force, and basically buying these 3 cards on paypal credit. I bought the cheapest i can see surely, maybe around $23 or so, similar to Boogeyman.

FERAL CAT

  • Who doesnt love this iconic character. Crazy looking, twisted cat, with quick speed. Probably will pair well with other cards surely.

  • And once again, cant remember exactly what i price i picked one up for, but was the lower out of the bunch.

TOTAL

  • Well, total was about $70 bucks that i bought from paypal credit, a bit of a degen move i know, but thats where im at currently. Im in need of more cards, as this small addition will hardly prove anything in the grand scheme of things. Id have to get summoners up to a level 5 across the board imo, thats a next step for me i believe.

Anyways, ill call that a cut for now. Im gone, goodbye.

I'll say money well spent if you ask me, I've been beaten a lot by that ferral guy, I think I like to upgrade my cards, but then, gold cards are the best. What league are you playing in?

Hey man, im trying to get out of gold but its really tough. In wild since i have some older cards. Not sure i will be able to beat some of the people with really good, overpowered cards. Glad to have you swing by my bro, youre definitely one of the beasts out here in the wilderness !LOL

Those are some expensive cards and I am glad that I am doing modern format. So I don't have to worry about this at all.

I hear you J, its made me numb to the reality. I have bought some really expensive ones last year, and value has taken a hit. Good or bad to buy sometimes, idk. The lure is how the cards play into the actual game, the look of the art gets me too. A thousand posts later, we might be ok LOL.

There must be great money to be made in sleep. Haha. Spent 70 yesterday on Credits myself buying an Oatmount Betemouth (I may have his name wrong) . Haven't gone near gold yet until I have a full or near full regular deck to chose from. There's a cool filter on peakmonsters in buy column where you can click off the cards you already own. Then I pick up a few cards that will help me that I don't have so I have a nice selection criteria.

Those are some dope cards at least, I'm hoping Splinterlands will have another big boom in 2023 during a bull run and all these worries will be a thing of the past (i.e asset prices when we bought)

I been going a bit over-board in Silver on the rentals, prob spent 2k+ DEC this season which is silly but It's so hard to win against these stacked out decks, my friend suggested I play in modern so I'm moving to there next season- slipped my mind that was even a thing

I've been sat in Silver 3 getting my ass handed to me daily when I could be in Silver 1 with my CP in modern lmao least my EoS/Daily rewards would be nicer.

You probably know this already but have you tried using the @reward.app pay-out feature? At least you could have Liquid HBD/Hive paid out from specific posts then use them funds directly for investments.

I was thinking about doing that in the future for my SPL giveaways and using the funds to purchase up a nicer card to give away instead of dud commons always

I'm trying to upgrade my deck now to actually play with it instead of just doing rentals. Holy hell is this expensive. I checked the splintercards tool to see what I'd need to max out my Untamed cards and its close to $30k. And I already have a lot of untamed cards.

How are cards both cheap and so expensive?
