The more I'm looking, the more I'm convinced that Diamond is 'easy' enough to get to with the right summoners. I have a bit more buying to re-buy myself a solid playable deck which I'll do by the end of this week.
Not sure whether I'll have time to play to Diamond league, depends on ECR and timings and everything else, but I'll let you know which rentals work for me or not.
I'm thinking I probably don't need Llama, if I go for a L3 Kron - and then have a focus on water with Valnmaor. I have purposely gone hard on buying LIFE and I think the Grandmaster Rathe team will do well. I am hoping to figure out a rental pattern for perhaps averaging 3000 per day (3.6 hive) - across a season, that's 54 Hive. To balance that, you would need to earn 440 SPS. That could be done in one Diamond chest. (Although, a lot of rentals will be at gold league through the season while you climb, so this number could be a whole lot less).
Either way, I'm very much a numbers guy, will take down all my numbers and let you know. Next season will be my real tester. And then, hopefully 2023 will be all about pulling some profit out of the game! Let's hope.

I've seen others post screen shots where they get 1000s, think I seen 3500 in one chest, but stands to reason, could be more. Either way, I'll race you to diamond ;)
I thought those were champions chests. If that's the case, once the new reward proposal is in play, the SPS drops could be even higher :O
