Catotune's Top Battles Rundown: Gold league, Wild format - Mar 28, 2023

In this series, I analyze the top battles of the day to reveal which summoners and monsters are most successful for a given league and format. What better way to improve our Splinterlands skills than to study what the best players are doing?

For those of us who buy, rent, or rent out cards, I'm also hoping that this series can inform us of which cards to acquire for maximum effectivenes.

For simplicity I threw out matches ending in draws and surrender - all data is compiled from wins and losses. Here are the results from 138 of the top Gold league (wild format) battles from Tuesday, March 28, 2023:

Monsters with highest win rate

1. Spark Pixies - Fire splinter

   Water splinter had the most success against Water, defeating its identical element 12 times in today's top Gold league (wild) battles.

   • This splinter was effective with the Explosive Weaponry ruleset, where Water won 3 times.

   • Water splinter held its own in high mana cap battles (greater than 46 mana), prevailing in 8 of those matches.
     
     

3. Life
   Win rate: 54.05% [20/37]
   

   
   
   Life splinter had the most success against Life, besting its identical element 9 times in today's top Gold league (wild) battles.

   • This splinter matched well with the Rise of the Commons ruleset, where Life emerged victorious 3 times.

   • Life splinter held its own in battles with mana caps of 16 or lower, winning 6 of those matches.
