Splinterlands Daily Quest Log: Day 8 + Water Splinter Strategy & Battle

For today's daily quest I was given the water splinter quest. Going into this quest I had seen a few other daily quest posts here on Splintertalk of people earning credits for rewards so I knew the bronze nerf was officially among us! The whole time I was praying to get a card or at the very least to earn some credits. The quest was a quick one today as I went five of nine in my battles. I will talk about the superstar of this challenge a little later.

My wins in the quest were as follows:

Win 1: Water Splinter vs Death Splinter
Win 2: Water Splinter vs Life Splinter
Win 3: Water Splinter vs Water Splinter
Win 4: Water Splinter vs Death Splinter
Win 5: Water Splinter vs Fire Splinter

The closest battle of the day was by far my fourth win, my opponent played the death splinter with lots of snipes including the magic snipe monster Death Elemental. Death Elemental was a card that I thought for sure was going to chew through my strategy as it ignores the armor buff from Venari Wavesmith. This battle is linked here for you to view!

As I stated earlier my strategy was to use Alric to buff almost all, if not all of my back line units while allowing my tank to eat up damage from the opposing team. What I believe to be even more important than Alric in this strategy is Venari Wavesmith. This card is a complete house! For five mana, I get a unit with two attack and two defense AND this card adds two armor to all your monsters which can easily add up to another six to twelve health that the opponent has to deal with!

Now for the most exciting part of doing dailies is the reward at the end. As I said earlier, the bronze reward nerfs are live so I will take anything except a potion at this point as a potion is only useful if I can buy packs and considering the lack of vouchers I will receive it will be costly to get packs. That being said, lady luck was not on my side today and I received a legendary potion.

As disappointing as this may be, I have to keep my head down and continue to grind. One day soon, I will escape the bronze leagues and stack enough SPS to receive the vouchers that I desire!
