Hello everyone! Welcome to another Splinterlands Weekly Challenge. For this week, we will feature Mycelic Slipspawn from the Earth element.

THE LORE

THE STATS

Mycelic Slipspawn has 3 abilities at Max level.
The TAUNT ability can be use at all level.
The FORCEFIELD ability is unlocked at level 4.
The SLOW ability is unlocked at level 8 which is the max level of the monster.

At low level, Mycelic slipspawn is really useful using his taunt ability. It gives other monsters to last longer as they are not targeted as long as he is present in the battle.

THE RULESET

**NO LEGENDARIES **- Legedary monsters cannot be used in this battle
**MANA CAP - 26 **

THE LINE UP

	Adds 1 magic damage to all monsters	Good since there is no Thaddium Brood
	THORNS	Act as a meat shield
	TAUNT	The main tank, absorbs all the damage using his taunt ability
	DODGE	Another filler to my line up
()	TANK HEAL	To heal the Mycelic slipspawn when he reach the first position so it will last long in the battle.
	FLYING	The backline. I always put Regal peryton at the 5th or last position because of its high speed (6) and flying ability which increases its rate of evasion from sneak monsters.

Did my strategy work?

Although we almost have the same monsters in the field, my team reign supreme because of my additional meat shields provided by Mycelic morphoid and Chaos agent. The taunt of Mycelic slipspawn also helps my backline stay alive until the end of the battle. In fact, the Mycelic morphoid and Mycelic slipspawn are the only casualty on the battle. The affliction of Goblin psychic also help seals the victory for me as the opponent can no longer heal his own Mycelic slipspawn.

What will I try differently next time?

I think I will put Mycelic slipspawn at the backline if I acquire a monster with triage ability like Spirit hoarder. That way, Mycelic slipspawn will last longer.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I really like using Mycelic slipspawn because of its taunt ability. Taunt for me is still one of the stronger abilities in Splinterlands.
