Hello bloggers, how are you, today I come to show you my entry for a new week of the @splinterlands art contest. This time I bring you a fan art of an animal card. Changing some details and adding others, this week I decided to recreate the creature FLAME MONKEY a little monkey from which flames emerge from his palms. I didn't think twice and I did it. So I'll tell you what was the process and the step by step. here we go.

Hola Blogueros. ¿Cómo están?, el día de hoy vengo a mostrarles mi entrada para una nueva semana del concurso de arte de @splinterlands. Esta vez les traigo un fan art de una carta animal. Cambiándole algunos detalles y agregándole otros, esta semana he decidido recrear a la criatura FLAME MONKEY un monito del cual emergen llamas de sus palmas. No lo pensé dos veces y lo hice. Así que te cuento cual fue el proceso y el paso a paso. vamos allá.

For the idea of the sketch I imagined the little monkey a little more zen. So I made him float or rather; lift him up by leaning on his tail. I also decided to add some extra details. I felt that he would look great in a suit of armor and that his hands would also be in a more powerful pose, so I went for color.

Para la idea del boceto me imagine al monito un poco mas zen. Así que le hice flotar o mejor dicho; elevarle apoyándose en su cola. También decidí agregar unos detalles adicionales. Sentí que se vería muy bien con un traje armadura y que sus manos también estuviesen en una pose un poco mas poderosa . y allí si me fui al color.

For the color phase I chose a basic brown color giving it shades of gray. For his costume I wanted to make it a little more warrior-like adding golden tones and that red that represents power and was what I wanted to express in the illustration.

Para la fase de color elegí un color marrón básico dándole sombras con algo de gris. Para su traje lo quise hacer un poco mas de guerrero agregando tonos dorados y ese rojo que representa el poder y era lo que quería expresar en la ilustración.

One of the things I enjoyed the most about this illustration; without a doubt, was making fur, since I avoid this technique a lot, and also working without lineart. Only the sketch to guide the strokes. But in the last few days I have decided to try new things and this should be one of them.

Una de las cosas que mas he disfrutado de esta ilustración; si duda ha sido hacer pelaje ya que le huyo mucho a esta técnica y también el trabajar sin lineart. Solamente el del boceto para guiar los trazos. Pero en los últimos días me he decidido probar cosas nuevas y esta debía ser una de ellas.

I'm just very happy to have started my week with this work which I really enjoyed and made me very happy.
To finish this time I wanted to add a super flat background with just some lights. Since I didn't want to overload the character, and that was it, how did you like it?

Simplemente estoy muy feliz de poder haber empezado mi semana con este trabajo que disfrute mucho y me hizo muy feliz.
Para finalizar esta vez quise solo agregar un fondo super plano solo con algunas luces. Ya que no quería recargar el personaje. y eso fue todo. ¿ que tal te ha parecido?.
