The amount of DEC in circulation is much lower than you might imagine. While there are over 6 billion tokens out there, most of them are locked in the DAO or LAND, which alone hold approximately 4 billion tokens. A significant portion, around 1 billion, is held in liquid form in user accounts, and about half is held in Splinterlands, reserves used to fund the team.

The team's account itself is worth monitoring because when the token percentage tends toward 0, the team will begin purchasing DEC from the market, creating an upward push for the stablecoin. It's a simple market rule: more supply = more demand. In my opinion, DEC could become an advantage if the necessary conditions are created so that the community constantly needs to purchase the token.

The stablecoin is currently underutilized, which explains why it is so far from its peg. Under these conditions, DEC is more of an obstacle to tokenomics than an opportunity. We'll probably have to wait for the next main set to further stimulate the token's growth. In fact, during the CA presale, the token reached its peg, and the effect was seen in the SPS burn, which eliminated tens of millions of tokens from circulation.

It will be really interesting to see what's new for Splinterlands in 2026. We hope the team releases a roadmap soon.

La quantità di DEC circolante è molto inferiore rispetto a quanto si possa immaginare. Sebbene ci siano oltre 6 miliardi di token lì fuori, gran parte di essi sono bloccati nel DAO o in LAND, che da soli conservano circa 4 miliardi di token. Una parte consistente, circa 1 miliardo, è in forma liquida negli account degli utenti e circa la metà è detenuta da Splinterlands, riserve utilizzate per il fabbisogno del team.

Proprio l'account del team è da monitorare perché quando la percentuale di token tenderà verso lo 0, il team inizierà ad acquistare DEC dal mercato, creando una spinta verso l'alto proprio alla stablecoin. È una semplice regola di mercato: più offerta=più domanda. A mio giudizio DEC può diventare un vantaggio se si creano le condizioni necessarie affinché la comunità abbia continua necessità di acquistare il token.

Al momento la stablecoin è poco utilizzata e ciò spiega il perché sia così lontano dal suo peg. A queste condizioni DEC è più un ostacolo per la tokenomics che un'opportunità. Probabilmente dobbiamo attendere il prossimo main set per stimolare ancora una volta la crescita del token. Infatti, durante la presale di CA, il token ha raggiunto il peg e l'effetto si è visto con il burning di SPS che ha eliminato dalla circolazione decine di milioni di token.

Sarà davvero curioso conoscere le novità per quest 2026 per Splinterlands. Speriamo che il team rilasci presto una roadmap.
