My journey into Splinterlands - A lovely story

Well well, my journey on Splinterlands began at the end of 2019, the game had already been launched a few years ago but I joined Hive in February 2019 and a few months passed before I purchased the starter pack and approached the first battles. It wasn't easy at all to understand the dynamics of the game, what I learned some time ago is thanks to some willing players and a lot of practice. I started buying my first Untamed cards, understanding the card enhancement mechanisms, statistics, abilities and first strategies.

Among the cards I borrowed at the beginning there was GOBLIN MECH, a neutral card from the Beta edition, a real marvel and it was my favorite monster and battle companion for at least a couple of years. Deployed in first position and strengthened a bit, it was truly a war machine and allowed me, together with other cards, to start climbing the rankings, including the ALRIC STORMBRINGER summoner and the magic attack cards that gave me they have always given notable successes!

Then my strategy changed, I decided to sell all the cards, or almost all of them, and to aggressively enter the Chaos Legion edition, here I participated in the group purchase during the Presale phase, obtaining advantageous discounts. Between group presales and subsequent purchases I bought over 1000 CL packs, quite a few for a user like me, certainly the first investment in a web3 game. I don't remember spending that much money on other games in my life :P

Meanwhile, the launch of $SPS gave me a new impetus, my asset guaranteed me to get a small part of the airdrop and initially I didn't really understand the long-term importance of this new asset. Only later, after understanding how many resources LAND would have required and the importance of the SPS token for the conversion to DEC, did my accumulation strategy significantly increase and today I am proud to own over 140k SPS

My enthusiasm has grown significantly with the finally announcement of LAND which will launch players into a new world and a new adventure. In my opinion, LAND will be the natural evolution of Splinterlands and I decided to buy 2 plots at the time, unfortunately they are simple pieces of land, I wasn't very lucky in the draw but it's clear that everything is limited by my number of lands.

LAND 1.5 will launch next week and we will finally begin the first steps of this exciting new adventure. Splinterlands is a game that doesn't require much time for an average player, in my opinion LAND will be more challenging even if some actions should also work offline. I'm really excited to start managing my assets in this new expansion!
