My experience and Some other tips for the beginners!

As already said in my previous posts, the journey into Splinterlands was not at all simple, for various reasons, including certainly the lack of information on actual playability, i.e. any cards to deploy? And for what reason? Well let's start with some basic concepts.

Each card has its own characteristics and statistics, but the substantial difference is in the type of attack which is fundamentally divided into:

  • Ranged: ranged attack
  • Melee: physical attack or short distance
  • Magic: attack that avoids armor and affects health points
  • No Attack: cards with purely defensive characteristics

This is the first step to understand before anything else, knowing for example that you should never deploy cards with melee attacks in first position because they lose any offensive power and will inevitably suffer the blows of your opponents. Therefore it will be appropriate to defend these monsters from the danger of the first position simply by deploying them in the rear (I generally deploy them on average in the last 2/3, it depends on the cards chosen).

Another fundamental concept to learn is the function and role of Summoners: summoners do not fight directly in battle but are indispensable for their abilities, because they will be reflected in all the cards deployed.

Take for example Tarsa, summoner of the Fire element, she has two bonuses: melee attack +1 and health +1. All monsters deployed in battle with Tarsa will have their attack and health increased by 1 point. If you have understood what has been written up to this point, you are already at a good starting point. It took me much longer to understand it directly on the pitch.

Once I learned these basics, the next step for me was learning and memorizing the monsters' many abilities. Here it is also important to have not only a good memory but also a speed of processing possible strategies. You have just over two minutes to deploy the formation, time is limited to imagine possible strategies.

But with exercises, battles, theory and lots of practice, Splinterlands will become a game you won't be able to put down!

Good game

  • Melee: attacco fisico o breve distanza

Just like that, times were going very hard for the last two and a half years and even though the projects were being worked on, the users were not coming. Now the market cycle has changed and we will see new users coming. and understanding all these things is definitely a bit difficult but not impossible.
