This only applies to cards with Melee attack, so a good strategy first of all is to reduce cards with this type of ability to a minimum, preferring cards with magical and ranged attack, or no attack cards. My opponent and I adopted the same strategy by deploying a non-attack card in the front row, BAAKJIRA is among my most valued cards because it offers an excellent shield against opponent attacks, equipped with the healing ability, in addition to slowing down attacks. opponents and an increase in the health of allies. A shield also strengthened by the additional healing power of MERDAALI GUARDIAN, effectively creating a magical barrier that is truly difficult to break down.

All this created the conditions for the other cards to launch attacks, not without problems... In fact, some opposing cards still attacked my rear, even defeating a couple of monsters. However, the battle was long and tiring, the outcome uncertain until the end, but fortunately the victory was mine. Although all units had the Thorns ability, the damage taken from this ability was minimal, having little impact on the outcome of the battle. Certainly, if the ruleset had excluded all cards with attacks other than melee, the effects would have been much more evident: in fact, with every attack launched, every monster would have suffered damage. At this point it would have been useful to deploy cards with high armor and health points, crossing your fingers and also hoping for luck, which is always very welcome.

Ciao a tutti amici di Splinterlands, eccoci al nuovo appuntamento con il Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge, il rulset focus è Briar Patch, tutte le carte in gioco ricevono automaticamente l'abilità Thorns ed ogni mostro dotato di attacco Melee, quando colpisce l'avversario, subisce un danno automatico pari alla metà del danno inflitto.

Ciò vale solo per le carte con attacco Melee, per cui una buona strategia prima di tutto è quella di ridurre al minimo le carte con questo tipo di abilità, preferendo carte con attacco magico e ranged, o carte no attack. Io ed il mio avversario abbiamo adottato la stessa strategia schierando in prima fila una non attack card, BAAKJIRA è tra lemmie carte più valutate perche offre un ottimo scudo contro gli attacchi avversari, dotato dell'abilità di cura, oltre al rallentamento degli attacchi avversari e un incremento della salute degli alleati. Uno scudo rafforzato anche dall'ulteriore potere curativo di MERDAALI GUARDIAN, creando di fatto una barriera magica davvero difficile da abbattere.

Tutto ciò ha creato le condizioni affinché le altre carte potessero lanciare attacchi, non senza problemi... Infatti alcune carte avversarie hanno comunque attaccato nelle mie retrovie, sconfiggendo anche un paio di mostri. La battaglia è stata comunque lunga e faticosa, il risultato incerto fino alla fine, ma per fortuna la vittoria è stata mia. Nonostante tutte le unità avessero l'abilità Thorns, i danni subiti da questa abilità sono stati minimi, influenzand di fatto poco l'andamento della battaglia. Di certo, se il rulset avesse escluso tutte le carte con attacchi diversi da melee, gli effetti sarebbero stati molto più evidenti: di fatto, ad ogni attacco lanciato, ogni mostro avrebbe subito danni. A questo punto sarebbe stato utile schierare carte con armature e punti salute elevati, incrociando le dita e sperando anche nella fortuna, sempre molto gradita.
