Splinterlands Challenge: Going The Distance

Hello all friends and the Splinterlands, here we are with the new appointment with the Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge, this week's event focuses on the Going The Distance rulset, the only monsters allowed in the battle are those that attack Ranged , all the others are therefore excluded and cannot be optioned in battle.

However, there are some cards that have both attacks, such as the legendary DRYBONE RAIDER, a neutral card belonging to the Soulbound set of CL, and can be used already in first position, without the risk of it not launching attacks on enemies, as it would a pure ranged card.

In my formation, unlike the most spontaneous logic, however, I deployed DRYBONE RAIDER in second position, behind VENARI MARKSRAT, taking advantage of the latter's Martyr ability which increases all the statistics of the adjacent allied units. In fact, immediately after the defeat of VENARI MARKSRAT, the legendary card exceptionally increases its Melee attack to +3, defeating many opponents before falling too, but now the battle is over and the victory was clear!

My strategy demonstrated how a deep knowledge of cards and abilities can turn the outcome of even the most uncertain battle. By immediately sacrificing a card, the adjacent one increased the strength of the others. The Martyr ability is truly amazing!

Another great neutral card is SUPPLY RUNNER for his abilities, as well as a really stinging attack! In fact, the unit has positive effects on allies by increasing both the speed and health of everyone. This guarantees a great advantage in battle because hitting the opponent first means having a better chance of defeating him before he attacks. The outcome of the battle wasn't all that unpredictable, although the situation was even at first, but DRYBONE RAIDER definitely accelerated an ultimately decisive victory, giving me 600 GLINT!
