Today I wanted to appreciate getting lucky here and there!

Golden Zyriel

I don't normally have the ability or the patience to participate in some of the various things that go on with the Splinterlands ecosystem. A lot of it depends on being at the exact moment at the exact right time and fight others to do what you need to do. I know that I'm missing out by not doing that sometimes but right now, I usually can't afford to do those things. With the recent release of Zyriel though, I was able to participate finally!

By participating this time, I was able to score big with the recent release of Zyriel! I managed to snag a gold foil version of the legendary dual element card! Damn was that an exciting time LOL

I know that some people have said the card was too expensive and not really realistic to ask people to fork over that kind of cash for it but I had the funds kind of sitting there so I said fuck it, let's go for it! I really wanted a level 3 version but I couldn't afford it via the funds I had, including all of the vouchers. I ended up using every single voucher I had, which in some ways is great to be able to use them finally for something. Sadly now though, I'm pretty unprepared if something else comes down the pike! LOL

The Zyriel card though is really cool to be able to play two elements. There is a little bit of a UI bug right now where on the Death card selection screen, Zyriel is at the very top instead of towards the bottom with the other legendary cards. It took me a little bit to realize that but now that I've figured it out, it's completely livable to deal with that until the next maintenance window.

I haven't used the card too many times yet, as I haven't found many good rulesets to use it with but in the ones that I have, I've had about 50/50 luck with it going well or it going poorly. I have to figure out the right scenarios that warrant the use of the card. My death lineup is one of my strongest ones for sure, since I have a level 3 Mimosa and am able to really wreak havoc with that thing combined with some of the other cards I've got on the Death side!

Life is where my weakness really lies. I don't have that strong of a life selection at the moment for whatever reason. I've focused on the other elements more than Life, as I didn't really love the +1 armor that was available back in the day as the only real life summoner to use. They've since increased the utility of the Life element to add the others and I'm liking the direction it's going now so I've been trying to build up my Life deck for a bit now. It's decent but it's definitely my weakest element right now.

The Zyriel, although expensive, is going to be a nice addition to my lineup! I know that I'm looking forward to figuring out what kinds of battles I can get it used in and figure out a good flow. Once I do that, it should work out pretty damn well!
