RE: Proposal: Burn All Unsold Visions of Verico Packs

I dont think it is negative enforcement what is going to happen is those who managed to get the packs now are going to inflate prices and i think this was not the goal of this release. i think Dave said b4 that the purpose of VERICO was for those plots that were not being worked on to be able to put some cards there at least and have land activated. Now with the current way that i see some guys want it to be, i think that goal is not going to be fulfilled lol it is just going to be like those first land cards whereby the prices will just inflate and the overall goal is not going to be fulfilled. from my view thats just how am viewing it. the timeline was not good to begin with in my view. escalation was having less packs but it was not for a month lol. why this VERICO is having way less time frame ? burning it is to me = to burning money because as I understand the cards were paid for by the DAO. unless if am mistaken.
The negative enforcement thing was more about the idea of extending the sale (the other proposal). I think it's very problematic if we don't respect the deadlines we set. For example, if I say "you have 9 months to buy Conclave Arcana and then it's gone" and you say "well I'll just hold off until they eventually extend the sale" we create a situation where we start cyclically pushing back and extending every sale because "maybe a buyer will come" and the unfortunate reality is that we may just need some people having regret to have any value of sales in the future. While I'd prefer these sold and we don't see another land card set this year... I'm just saying practically speaking if these packs are burned and there's demand for more land cards due to... I dunno buildings releasing and whatever they produce being desirable... then we'll probably just end up with another new set of cards and probably more confusion/feelings.
In short, don't really think there's a clear win here, but it'll work out however it works out and I'm sure we'll adapt accordingly. Not super worried about either outcome personally.
well this was not a 9 month sale unfortunately not even 2 lol
Yea fair enough. I think this is a situation that is much more complicated than a normal sale. I'll vote to give more time, but in general I don't like that being a strategy going forward of moving the end dates.
