Splinterlands - Taming Yodin Zaku - Part 2 - Chanseus The Great Proves A Thorn In Flesh For Yodin Zaku

Hello Friends,

I have shared many battles involving Yodin Zaku in the past with wins with it as well as losses against it. But my love for Yodin Zaku never ends and here I am with a battle against it and winning it using Chanseus The Great summoner.

This battle is something I won with Noxious Fumes rule set was on and defeating Yodin Zaku wasn't that easy considering it can attack 2 monsters at a time.

Here I go with the details of the battle.

Summoner: Chanseus The Great:

Well, the rule set of Weak Magic prompted me to go with Life Splinter and since the Chenseus The Great can repair to build the armors for front monster, I planned to use it for this battle with more chances of winning the battle as even magic monsters have to reduce the armors completely to attack the main health.

When Noxious Fumes rule set is on, it won't be easy to win the battle unless we have a monster like Gelatinous Cube, but I dared not to use it and win the battle.

This was a battle with good MANA cap of 48 and had Weak Magic rule set along with Noxious Fumes and that prompted me to go with Life splinter and use Chanesus The Great as summoner for it's armor re-building capability.

Here is the lineup I used for this battle:

Lineup:

1. Shieldbearer:

Since the weak magic rule set was there, I thought of using this as it can not only attract all the attack towards it, but can also stay in the battle for longer period because of it's huge number of armors.

2. Silvershield Knight:

My plan when I use Life splinter, will be to have more monsters to attack at the back end with Silvershield Knight used to get that inspire ability to increase the melee attack by 1 and that is why, this monster is used in this position.

3. Sand Worm:

As I said, my main aim will be to attack from the back end and that is why, Sand Worm is placed in Third position with another backend attacker Silvershield Assassin to follow it.

4. Herbalist:

Used this to remove the poison from Shieldbearer to keep it alive for more time and this monster also gave a ranged attack as long as it was alive.

5. Silvershield Assassin:

There it is, the Second back end attacker with good speed and it's a regular one for me in the battles involving Life Splinter.

6. Silvershield Sheriff:

used this since it can give those 2 additional armors for all the friendly monsters and it can also be a good weapon to attack ranged and magic attack monsters on the Second line.

Opponent used the famous Yodin Zaku summoner with his monsters being Lord Arianthus, Fineas Rage, Elemental Phoenix, Gelatinous Cube, Caladuum and Ferexia General.

Battle:

Round 1:

The battle was on with Yodin Zaku on the other side, but, what surprised me the most was the less use of ranged attack monsters by opponent when using Yodin Zaku, may be he wanted to utilize the blast ability more than the increased ranged attack.

Round 1 was good with opponent himself losing the First monster courtesy of the back end attackers I had used in Silvershield Assassin and Sand Worm.

Opponent's Ferexia General got removed before it could attack as the Silvershield Assassin with better speed than the monster got removed, had the better of it.

Round 2:

Double attack from Yaodin Zaku's monsters means, Silvershield Knight was removed, but re-instated by Chanseus The Great.

Opponent lost another of his monster in the form of Caladuum as the back end attack continued.

There were still no damage on my side but there was soon as the poison was suppose to take out One or 2.

Round 3:

The poison did remove the Herbalist, while, opponent was to witness another of his monsters getting removed.

This time, the front monster for him, the Lord A has to go with it losing out even before the poisoning started.

image.png

Round 4:

The poison removed 2 of the best monsters on either side, Elemental Phoenix for opponent and Silvershield Assassin for me.

Soon after poisoning, the battle resumed and witnessed removal of Gelatinous Cube for opponent.

image.png

Round 5:

The battle got over with another round of poisoning and then continued battle seeing the end of Fineas Rage for opponent and monsters which survived the battle for me were Shieldbearer, Silvershield Knight and Sand Worm.

image.png

I think the main advantage for me was the weak magic rule set along with Chanseus The Great repairing the armors at the beginning of each round.

The Shieldbearer was also good here for me as it took all the attack, but still kept smiling as it survived all the scares and I have to say, the win was more because of Shieldbearer.

I always love to battle with Yodin Zaku with me or him against me in the lineups and when those wins comes, it will be like being on moon!!!!!

Line.jpg

Overall, a good battle and Noxious Fumes battles are not easy to win unless we use Scarred Llama mage with Kron The Undying and Gelatinous Cube, but some battles like this, will be good to watch again and again as the win was there without usage of monsters I mentioned above and that makes it a sweet victory to win against YODIN ZAKU.

P.S: Unless explicitly mentioned, all the images are taken from Splinterlands Blockchain game as screenshots and @splinterlands is the owner of the same

Thanks as always for the support and happy battling to you all battlers over there!!!!!

Thanks and Have a good day :)

Man! You've put crazy amount of effort in this, I've truly enjoyed it, knowing that I am a complete noob!

Would you know how to record a video of a battle?

You don't have to record it as the Splinterlands itself gives it as a battle link like I shared below:

https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=sl_0e0ada1fe5f30a485d5fc6224332827b&ref=coolguy123

And if you still want to record it, I think you can use any screen recorder for that.
I bet you would enjoy this game if you haven't started playing it and besides that, you can earn a lot too.

I've just watched the fight, I had no idea you could do that!

Round 2 was epic lol! I am currently renting my cards, I think I'll watch few more fights before trying it out. You clearly are a master of the game.

I have been addicted to Splinterlands, I may not write a blog on a particular day, but I won't miss playing daily quests :)

renting is the best thing for new players as they can get nice cards for pennies.

Hahah I understand the addiction! With the DEC i make from renting, should I buy better cards? What the minimum price for a card you advise I should get?

At the current market price, the card values are more overvalued and I think the price won't come down any soon as more and more players are getting into Splinterlands everyday and the scarcity of cards means, the price may even go up.

I think you can accumulate DEC and SPS to get more packs from Chaos Legion and who knows, you may find some real gems and increase your collection power and also have good deck to battle for those daily quests.

Having said that, you can check the lowest priced gold cards from epic category as those will give more collection power compared to other category ones.

As many say, it's still not too late to get into Splinterlands and expand the collection.

People are ready to spend $3K 3.5K to get a MAX level Yodin Zaku!!!! and that tells the story of this game and yeah, that obviously makes me addicted to it :)

A friend of mine @enginewitty sold his deck for a very good price, so I know exactly what you mean...That's actually why I started looking into it.

Alright, thanks for the advise, I will wait for Chaos Legion packs, it's released in November right?

Thanks I will look into that too!

Cheers buddy!

Presale for Chaos Legion will be starting from 18th of this month and it will be for a month's period, but I think we can't open the packs until presale is over.

The card price has gone up so much that, the total value of my Splinterlands account early this year was worth $1600, which is now, above $50K!!! I sold some of the cards earlier at very cheap rates as against the ones right now and even a Yodin Zaku at $100 which is now more than $500 for a BCX card.

Wow, no wonder everyone is losing their minds! Ok, well I am jumping on the hype train too choo chooooooooo!

Good luck my friend.

The hype is not gonna sink down any soon I think, Chaos Legion will create more opportunities and SPS is already changing the lives of many although the airdrop will be just for a year.

The earlier version cards will be unreachable for many and that will surely keep the price high.
