The main things that stand out for the Dax Paragon are the 2 mana cost and the amplify ability. This means this is a card that you basically need to build a deck around while it's not compatible with the Legendary Life summoner as that gives all monsters the amplify ability. The extra affliction ability at level 5 also pretty much is a must for this card.

So basically in order to play this one, you need a low mana battle and you need to combine it with the Ilthain Summoner which gives range damage return fire ability. That with either the Pelacor Conjurer and or the Crystal Werewolf. The entire setup feels rather tricky as it doesn't seem to have that much damage output since most of the damage will come from reflects.

Since I don't own the Ilthain and only have the Dax Paragon at level 2, the strategy is not really viable for me and to be honest even if there was a rare situation where the game rules and mana cap suite this playstyle, I'm not sure it would be most optimal to begin with.

The match that I played didn't include the Dax Paragon but highlighted the Amplify Ability. Only Magic Monsters were allowed with no sneak/snipe/opportunity while all monsters started poisoned. I opted for the Legendary Life Rathe Summoner which gives all mosters the amplify + some void armor which both are useful in this battle. I opted for the Prismatic Energy as my main tank as it has good health plus reflect and void abilities. In 2nd place I put the Djinn renova which has good damage output and helps to keep monsters alive with the healing. I like to always use 1 extra ability in these game rules that reduces magic damage of the opponent and the Elven Mystic is a good option to do this. the Adelaide Brightwing is a must play card as it is immune while giving a resurrect and some armor repair. The Tortisian Chief with heal helps to keep my tank alive linger and to finish the line-up I put the High Priest Darius to give 1 extra resurrect.

splintertools.io shows me having a 100% chance in what was a fairly easy win. Also one of the things I realize from this match is how great it is that I can still use cards that I have owned since forever with The Prismatic Energy. This by the way used to be a reward card.
