Shadow Snitch Appreciation Post

Hello Splintercreatures, it's time I should post again.

I just wanted to share tonight my Silver II perspective on the Shadow Snitch, which of course is supremely valuable and well worth your SPT. When I first picked up Splinterlands again in Chaos Legion, I laughed this card off completely. However, then I thought about the mini ruleset.

In here, the Shadow Snitch begins to make more sense. It's reasonably bulky for a creature 4 mana and below, and of course is able to attack out of the second row. The bulk makes it into a pretty decent secondary tank, which can further stall the game as the damage dealing backrow does its thing. After realizing this, I took a look at the Snitch I had vs the Snitch I could have:

Obviously, the 2 power is way more attractive. It's basically a Radiated Brute that costs a few dollars more! But in Black, so I like it???

So now, the Shadow Police Informant finds itself in most of my mini decks.

Even outside minis I find myself unironically including this thing. I mean, just check out this fight against someone 300 rank lower than me (why does matchmaking always do this at season reset?) if you don't believe me.

For real though, Reach is an ability that I've been growing in appreciation for in general. Having an extra melee attack in rulesets such as No Arrows and No Magic can be great, because of the gravity of the ruleset (referenced from my previous post). Often it's a no-brainer to counter magic when ranged isn't available, and ranged when magic isn't available. So in this way, adding more melee damage to the build can nullify some of the foe's preparations if they play reactively (I'm not just dissing out reactive play though because I am a shameless reactive player).
