Splinterlands - Understanding Vouchers

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

In this video we focus on one of the tokens that is apart of the Splinterlands ecosystem. Specifically -- vouchers. It's important to understand this token because it offers a number of unique opportunities and elements to the game.

Vouchers are essentially a measurement of your SPS staking. The point of vouchers is to incentivize the behavior that the Splinterlands team wants the community to engage in - staking SPS tokens for long periods of time.

Currently, vouchers are distributed at a rate of 20,000 daily depending on the percentage of their staked SPS tokens to all the staked SPS tokens in the system. This update to voucher distribution has decreased the supply as previously it was a lot more. In turn this may help vouchers hold their value.

Vouchers are fungible tokens that can be transferred, traded, bought, and sold on third party markets such as Hive Engine. They are solely of benefit to the community, as the game does not profit off vouchers.

In the video we go over some of the current utility provided by vouchers, and then touch on some of the possible utility that has been hinted at throughout different AMA's/Townhalls.

Looking forward to hearing about your ideas on voucher utility in the comments section below!
