Splinterlands Monster Spotlight | The Kraken
If you're in Splinterlands for a while, you probably heard of some legendaries which are extremely imbalanced (Like Kron).
However, what you may not know is that there are some hidden gems in the Splinterlands collection that you may not have heard of. One of them is the Kraken.
This is a game that I played. Just look how it puts all the starter monsters to shame!

I still remember when I first started the game in June and everyone was talking about how The Kraken is extremely powerful. I don't hear people talking about this card now, although its strength is still unparalleled, especially in lower leagues!
The Kraken is strong because of its all-rounded stats. It has high base health, decent attack, and decent speed at level 1. Furthermore,
it's Taunt ability ensures that your backline monsters are safe from abilities like Sneak and Snipe.
The main weakness of The Kraken is its high mana usage and its lack of magic reflect abilities. Still, if you pair it up with Bortus the Summoner, the Summoner's ability to reduce magic damage should negate some of its weaknesses.
The Kraken is also pretty cheap to rent right now (60 DEC), considering its lack of popularity. Now is the best time to get it and surprise your opponent!
I got a great win rate (~65%) just from this card alone. Although it falls off in higher leagues, getting out of Bronze with just The Kraken should be a simple feat.
That's all I have for today! Until the dust settles down on the new UI interface, I think I'll be posting short articles like this! Till next time!
