I'm very happy to introduce you to a project I've been working on for a few weeks. It's the Splinter Babys.

For a long time I wanted to make the Splinterlands characters in the style of babies. Even before they made the Yodin and Kitty plushies, which by the way I freaked out because I thought someone would preempt my idea.

Since I started working with Midjourney, I knew I had to do this project. It was not easy at the beginning to find the prompts and above all to follow the same line, because even in the game, the characters have different styles depending on the edition of the card. This makes it more difficult to achieve the same style for all the characters.

It was also a job to get the card frame I wanted. The AI gave me horrible ones, but in the end I loved the result. I looked for mostly, characters with human features and that are well visible. There are monsters that are not well defined and are more complicated. Surely with time I will be able to refine them.

The simplest Splinters are those of Earth and Life. Others, like Death, have characters that are more difficult to make, or that don't even look that attractive. These are my future challenges.

I want to clarify that I will only create one NFT per character, meaning that each Splinterlands card would have a baby. There will never be two or more per type.

The images are composed of 3 parts which are:

• Character
• Card frame
• Background

You may notice that the rarity, splinter and character name are included.

The backgrounds are different depending on the splinter.

They are made in midjourney and edited in Photoshop. In the characters I had to edit some hands and elements and in the frames to include the logos.

In spite of improving the prompt, I could never achieve an image the first time. I always had to build on the previous one. Even to make them babies I had to lower their age with several steps because I never did it directly.

I will make a post for Splinterlans art challenge with all the previous images. Even on one, Midjourney warned me that I couldn't go on because it was NSFW.

Estoy muy feliz de presentarles un proyecto en el que llevo trabajando algunas semanas. Son los Splinter Babys.

Desde hace mucho tiempo quería hacer los personajes de Splinterlands al estilo de bebés. Incluso antes de que hicieran los peluches de Yodin y Kitty, que por cierto me asusté porque pensé que alguien se adelantaría a mi idea.

Desde que comencé a trabajar con Midjourney, supe que tenía que hacer este proyecto. No fue nada sencillo al inicio dar con los prompts y sobre todo seguir una misma línea, ya que incluso en el juego, los personajes tienen diferentes estilos según la edición de la carta. Esto hace que sea más difícil lograr el mismo estilo para todos los personajes.

También fue un trabajo lograr el marco de cartas que quería. La IA me daba unos horribles, pero al final me encantó el resultado. Busqué en su mayoría, personajes con rasgos humanos y que sean bien visibles. Hay monstruos que no están bien definidos y son más complicados. Seguramente con el tiempo pueda ir afinando para hacerlos.

Los Splinter más sencillos son los de Tierra y Vida. Otros como Muerte, tienen personajes más difíciles de hacer, o que incluso no se vean tan atractivos. Son mis retos futuros.

Quiero aclarar que solo crearé un NFT por personaje, o sea que cada carta de Splinterlands tendría un bebé. No existirán nunca dos o más por tipo.

Las imágenes se componen de 3 partes que son:

• Personaje
• Marco de la tarjeta
• Fondo

Pueden observar que se incluye la rareza, el splinter y el nombre del personaje.

Los fondos son diferentes dependiendo del splinter.

Están realizados en midjourney y con edición en Photoshop. En los personajes tuve que editar algunas manos y elementos y en los marcos incluir los logos.

A pesar de ir mejorando el prompt, nunca pude lograr una imagen a la primera. Siempre tenía que crear sobre la anterior. Incluso para hacerlos bebés tuve que irles bajando la edad con varios pasos porque nunca lo hacía directo.

Haré un post para el reto de arte de Splinterlans con todas las imágenes previas. Incluso en una, Midjourney me advirtió que no podía seguir porque era NSFW.
