Lurking from the depths of the darkness, heed my call and re-awaken! Arise, blood thirsty, ever-hungry skull!

Hello guys! I present to you my entry for Splinterlands Art Contest Week 240.

Just like me, coming back from a long, long break, I have decided to create an animated artwork the would depict the same. And based on its lore, Ever-hungry Skull is a re-animated skull of slain vampire brought back to life through necromancy - perfect for what I am searching for!

Medium and Software:

Hardware: Personal Laptop

Software: Autodesk Maya and Adobe Photoshop 2021

Step by step:

Here are the steps on how I made my 3D animated Artwork:

I started creating half the skull from the eye using polygonal plane.

1.PNG

I slowly worked for the upper jaw, and then the rest of the top half of the skull.

After creating the top part of the skull, I started working on the lower jaw and made sure that it will match the top skull I made earlier. I also added the teeth for the top and bottom part of the skull and more details for it to look closer as depicted on the card.

The model is then mirrored and adjusted so that the resulting 3D model will be proportional - not too thin nor too wide.

Animation were the added to the model. I tried to made it look like it was growling. Though I'm not sure if it looked like it's angry or just hungry. (Just Kidding)

 " " \" \"5-2.PNG\"\"""

I then added materials and lightings on the model. I initially made the animation so that the skull was disintegrating. I just reversed the process so that it will look like the skull is being resurrected.

Below are some of the rendered photos that are part of the final output. The final animated output is on the top of this post.

Hi guys! It's been a long time since I last posted as I have been too busy with my work (and some personal matters). After I visited the Splinterlands' official page, I was in awe of what I have seen. The entries for each week are all great! Let me emphasize that. The "entries" are amazing, not just the chosen winners! This made me feel like joining again. Although, I still may not be able to post as frequent. The last time I joined was Week 178. And now, it's already Week 240. Time flies too fast if you don't keep track. Hahaha!

Also, like before, it would mean so much for me if you can upvote and share my post. You may also comment your ideas regarding my artworks. I will be willing to read your thoughts about them. You may also visit my account to view my other artworks if you are interested.

I guess that's it for now, see you again next time!
