Splinterlands - More is not always Better

This season, I had decided to rent up to Silver II from Silver III that I was in all last season. It made a big difference in the number of season end loot chests I was awarded.

I was able to earn 55 season end loot chests compared to last season I was only able to earn 41 loot chests. That is an increase of 14 loot chests.

I was so excited that I had won 14 more chests compared to the prior season and rented my way into the Silver II to be able to accomplish earning more season points.

However when I was comparing the worth of those chests, last season the season end loot chests contained $2.15 worth of rewards compared to the $1.20 received this season with 14 more chests.

This just goes to show that quantity is not always better than quality. But I will continue renting to Silver II and also consider renting up to Silver I to see if I can receive even more chests next season end.

Season End Performance

I was able to have a season high rating of 2267 but then got into a losing streak which hurt my overall rating. I ended with a rating of 2013.

My win/loss ratio was 1.21 with 215 wins and 177 losses.

Season End Ranking

I finished the season with a rating of 2,013 down over 300 points from last season rating of 2,318. Due to this, my ranking fell to 11,977 from 4,514 in the Silver League season over season.

I was able to have ranked battles 392 times which was 8 less than the 400 times from last season. My total wins were 215 down from the 232 wins of last season. This resulted in a 54.8% win rate compared to the 58% win rate I had last season.

This was overall a much tougher season for me than last season. I was only able to put together a 8 match win streak where last season my longest winning streak was 13 in a row.

Tournaments

I still very much enjoy playing in the tournaments. I was able to win prizes in 12 of the tournaments that I entered.

The Silver tournaments are kicking my butt in which I am not able to win very many matches at all. Over all I only had three tournaments where I won more matches than I lost.

But in almost all of the tournaments, I was able to win prizes worth more than the entry fees that I paid to enter the tournaments. Due to this, I am making a profit off of the tournaments and will continue to enter them.

Another benefit of the tournaments is that I am learning a lot more about creating lineups for my ranked matches. I call this a win-win.

Watch out for the human traffickers at hivefest. You wont know it until its too late. STAY AWAY! Beware, traffickers can be women or men! They will act nice until they dont. There is human trafficking going on around this type of crypto. I have witnessed it. They literally have attempted my murder and are trying to kill me with V2K and RNM. You did well, I got to Gold for the very first time, then went on a massive winning streak and ended up in Diamond! The rewards though were very disappointing and not at all worth the renting that I had to do!

I think I will rent up to the next tier. I get so many more points and received several more daily focus chests. Take care.

Great job on your ending ranking. Now just get enough collection power to max out that ranking. Adding several hundred of collection power each season will get you to the next level eventually.
