Splinterlands - Season End: SPS, Gold Card and Chaos Legion Pack

This is the first season that I have been able to open Gold Season End Chests. During the prior season, I rented enough cards to achieve Gold III so that this past season I would receive Gold Loot Chests.

Even though the price of rentals has increased, I only like a few thousand points to make it to Gold. I thought that it would pay off with the rewards that I would earn and I was right.

Even though I only received a lessor number of loot chests at season end. I received 37 gold loot chests this season compared to over 50 Silver loot chests for the prior season.

I was very surprised when opening my season end loot chests. In the first 5 that I opened I received a Gold Common card - Pelacor Conjurer. It is always a pleasure to receive a gold card as it adds to my collection power thus reducing the need to rent as many.

I also received over 200 merits and some SPS. Since I am in a Guild the merits will help me get another Gladius Case which will also help increase my collection power.

In the next 5 Gold Loot Chests that I opened, I was shocked. One of the loot chests contained 81.843 SPS. This is a large number of SPS and I never thought there would be that many SPS in a loot chests.

With the upcoming Riftwatcher pack presale starting next week, this is a very timely reward. Riftwatcher packs will only be available to purchase with $5 USD of SPS. This will help me get another pack during this time period.

Talking about Packs, I also received a Chaos Legion pack and more merits. Wow, I was amazed at the rewards that I was receiving.

Overall, I received from the 37 Gold Loot Chests rewards worth $7.51 USD. I hope this luck continues over the next season.

Season End Performance

Again this season, I spent most of my time in the Modern Format matches but did play a few matches in the Wild Format.

I played a total of 374 matches (9 more than last season):
Wild - 9 Wins, 7 Losses (longest streak of 13 must be incorrect since I only had 9 wins this season unless I started winning this season and extended on wins I had in the prior season)
Modern - 175 Wins, 183 Losses with a longest streak of 7

I lost more matches than I won but that was to be expected since I was up in the Gold League for most of the season and I only have Bronze leveled summoners.

Tournaments

I played only two tournaments this season. Being in the Gold League, the entry fee was higher for all of the tournaments so I did not want to pay the higher fees to enter especially since I would not be able to get those fees back unless I placed high in the rankings at the end of the tournaments. Since I was most of the time not even making it to the second round, I thought it best not to enter them.

Rental Report

The good news is that I am getting more and more collection power so need to rent fewer cards to get into the Gold League. The bad news is that the rental prices have almost doubled and I keep getting rented cards pulled back so that I need to go out and rent additional cards.

Loot Chests

My loot chests rewards were also good for the daily focus. I received a lot of potions but I do not open the packs that I receive. I am hoping that the new non-card market will allow for the sales of potions in the future.
