Splinterlands - Share Your Battle Challenge - ANTOID PLATOON

avatar

Ants are so small and most consider them harmless. But Fire Ants are a different story. I live in Texas and we have Fire ant beds that you learn to avoid.

If you have ever stepped into a fire ant bed and they start to swarm you, then you know exactly what I am talking about. You start to think differently the next time you see an ant bed no matter what type of ant lives in it. They move in mass and attack without thought of being hurt, their only thought is to protect the Queen and their home the ant bed.

This week's Splinterland Share Your Battle Challenge is "Antoid Platoon".

Antoid Platoon

This monster is perfect for the Little League ruleset. It has the Shield ability and starts with 2 Armor and 4 Health.

Match Rules Sets

Mana Cap: 24
Rule Set: Armored Up and Little League
Splinter: Fire selected

Summoner: Tarsa. Fire Summoner with two abilities - +1 Melee attack and +1 health.

Tank: Antoid Platoon makes a mean tank especially with the Little League ruleset. It is my go to tank for Little League when I select the Fire splinter.

Second Position: Spark Pixies. I placed it in the second position because of it's speed. With a speed of 5 and the flying ability, more times than naught, it can evade an attack.

Third Position: Serpentine Spy. If my tank holds off attacks, I will need to pick off my opponents back line. The melee attack and opportunity ability will help accomplish this job.

Fourth Position: Ant Miners. The Antoid Platoon lore talks about them protecting the Ant Miners, I wanted to see how good they are at doing that. Also, the Ant Miners have the Scavenge ability so it will just grow in health with every monster that is killed.

Fifth Position: Scavo Firebolt. With it's ranged attack and higher health, it will help defeat my opponents first position monster.

Final Position: Uraeus. An Epic monster with the sneak ability will help pick off the back line as well while the Antoid Platoon hold up the front of the line.

Did It Work?

It worked better than I ever expected it to work. Antoid Platoon took little damage while the Spark Pixies evaded most of the attacks against it. I was able to pick off their back line one by one while protecting and holding the front of the line. Nary a monster was lost in this battle.

One of my favorite cards! Number 1 tank choice for small mana fire battles. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. Sometimes getting the right lineup is the key. My problem is that I don't always remember it. LOL
