Splinterlands - Share Your Battle Challenge - DRAGONS

Dragons are a deadly combination especially these two. This week's Splinterland Share Your Battle Challenge is "Dragons".

I love these two Dragons - Byzantine Kitty and Djinn Chwala.

The Legendary Summoner Byzantine Kitty requires 7 mana to use so for low mana cap battles it might cost to much mana to include in your line up. When you can use it, the abilities are awesome. +2 Speed, True Strike and First Position Heal.

In conjunction, I included Djinn Chwala as my tank. Look at those stats - 3 Melee, 2 Speed, 5 Armor and 9 Health. And this is before any of the Summoner abilities are added to it's stats.

Match Rules Sets

Mana Cap: 50
Rule Set: Melee Mayhem
Splinter: Dragon/Fire selected

Summoner: Byzantine Kitty. When possible I love using this summoner because of the three abilities that are available and applied to all of your monsters.

Tank Djinn Chwala makes an awesome tank. I almost always use it as my tank when using the Dragon Splinter. The Thorns deal out damage.

Second Position: Lava Launcher. I recently purchased this monster so still trying to learn more about placement and combination with other cards. I placed it in the second position because it has a high armor of 6 and the close range ability with three attack.

Third Position: Djinn Inferni. This monster has magic attack. I choose it so bypass my opponent's armor incase they added extra.

Fourth Position: Disintegrator. Since the ruleset is Melee Mayhem, I assumed my opponent would use most or all Melee attack monsters. This ability will reduce the melee attack and provide me more time to damage them. Also, with the Melee Mayhem ruleset, it will not also attack unlike other rulesets where it would just sit and wait till it got to the first position.

Fifth Position: Forgotten One. With 4 melee attack, 4 armor and 8 health, this is one powerful monster especially in the Melee Mayhem ruleset.

Final Position: Serpentine Spy. By this point, I only had 3 mana left and the count down timer was at 6 seconds so I had to pick quickly. This is one of my go to cards with the opportunity ability. I figured I would lose it during the first round but it would provide a buffer to my other cards.

Did It Work?

Heck yeah. Not only did it work but I did not even lose a card. Dragons are very powerful when you can use them. The combination of Djinn Chwala attack and thorns coupled with the extra speed, can't miss and heal from Byzantine Kitty is very hard to counter.
