Splinterlands - Share Your Battle Challenge - Venari Knifer

I decided to share one of my battles from a Tournament in which I participated.

This week's Splinterland's Share Your Battle Challenge using the Venari Knifer card. Several months ago, I had purchased a Gold Venari Knifer for a whole lot more than their current pricing. So I encourage anyone that that want one to take advantage of the lower prices before they go back up.

Tournament

Let's back up a bit. If you have read any of my prior Splinterland post, it is rare that I do not mention my love for playing in tournaments. This battle was during one of those tournaments.

Tournament Event Details - Chaos Legion SPS Gold Foil Free.PNG

The tournament was sponsored by @marianaemilia Only Chaos Legion Edition cards could be used with Novice League caps with no Legendary cards.

One of the reasons I love participating in tournaments is for the battle practice. To help me get better at creating lineups for all the various rulesets. In this tournament, I did not win. I did not even get any rewards. All I received was new information and practice regarding how to get better at playing battles.

Venari Knifer

When I was considering using my Gold Venari Knifer, I thought that I would get to use it at level 3 since it is a gold card and get an advantage from that. But after I created and submitted my lineup, I remembered that the tournament was Novice League caps so no advantage for any leveled up cards.

Match Line Up

This battle had a mana cap of 24 so not much with which to work. Rulesets were "Unprotected" and "Heavy Hitters".

I chose to use Venari Knifer because it would have an advantage of Thorns since my opponent would not be able to have any shield due to the "Unprotected" ruleset. I guess that were thinking the same thing.

Starting Lineups - Tournament Sponsor Mary Emily and Friends.PNG
By the second round, I was getting very worried. My opponent had already taken out my Venari Knifer and my Goblin Psychic so I could no longer heal.

I am down to two cards left against their four.

Round 2 - start of.PNG
By the start of round 3, I only had one card left with 1 health against three of theirs. I did not see any way that I could win this match.

Round 3 - Giving up hop.PNG

Then everyone always tells me, "Speed Kills", My Mage went first and took out their Goblin Psychic which left two cards which could no longer attack me. I was relieved to have won the match.

Yes, I love the tournaments. I wish I could play better but I am still learning and building my deck. Take care.
