First, thank you for your time and effort to put all this together. Second, its very complicated and I don't have time to go through everything at this point.

I do have 2 issues I noticed and I would like to see changed in the future:

Point 1: I do think GF Bronze Decks should be encouraged to be built and thus I think having prizes for them is important. Without Bronze GF tourneys, many will not ever bother to try and thus they don't start a progression that may lead them to play the even higher level GF tourneys one day.

Put another way, you are building a barrier that will discourage people from even trying which isn't the right way to go imo.

Point 2: While I think its great that you eliminate the cost of entry, I also think you don't pay out nearly enough spots. In order for the tournaments to encourage enough players to participate, this needs to increase not decrease.

The best example of this is the Random GF tourneys only paying out 16 places? This will discourage people from accumulating and competing as we all know who the top 20 players are. In a game that has thousands of players and wants to encourage more in the future to participate, then you have to think more spots not less.

I know the top 16 will like this, but like with anything in this game people will figure out quickly if they are even close. My belief is you will find this discourages gold foil deck building, which in turn will decrease the value of GF purchases and eventually reducing the value for everyone (except the top 16).

I hope you reconsider these 2 points, We need tournaments to be a place where MORE people participate, not less. Both of these issues I've raised address that concept, and for us to succeed we have to be able to scale and not just reward a few at the top.

ps. I like Vugtis's idea of qualifier tourneys with little to no payout for this round. I believe you are doing this because you are trying to gate out the truly non competitive decks, so his idea would give you that gate and enable you to start paying out 100s of accounts for each tourney and making sure they are real accounts from people building real decks for battles.

I already added bronze GF back in, I got the message from many people. As far as the payout structures, There's really no easy solution. I actually agree with vugtis that I would love a lot of smaller tournaments, but as is right now, all that would be is the same people entering all of them. We need dev work for serious changes to address these types of problems.

The biggest concern I got from people when overhauling these tournaments was "I don't want to enter and lose money" and I think that's fair. These are not for profit tournaments. Making the deck and SPS stake the only requirements means that entry will be free so no risk of loss. If you look at the older brackets the prizes were very tiny and the bottom half were literally refunds. I'm not opposed to adjusting this in the future to stretch them out a little lower, but I want to see how this goes as I'm already removing entry fees. If people really want lower prizes all around and we have enough people entering to justify it, I'll consider changing them after a few rotations. Sound fair?

I think you've done great overall. And the fact that you will consider changing things in the future when you get more data is great and definitely fair.

Thanks for what you are doing Clay, and I think we have the same goals of using tournaments to positively to build and grow out playerbase, as well as providing more entertainment/utility value for our players.
