¡Hola a todos! Hace poco quise hacer un fanart del querido juego de cartas coleccionables @splinterlands, estuve viendo algunas cartas y me fui a la sección de ataque a distancia, en el splinter de agua y encontré esta carta peculiar, su diseño y fuerza me atrapó. ¡Acompáñame a ver el proceso! ♥

Hello everyone! I recently wanted to make a fanart of the beloved collectible card game @splinterlands, I was looking at some cards and I went to the ranged attack section, in the water splinter and I found this peculiar card, its design and strength captivated me. Join me to see the process! ♥

Comencé garabateando muchas ideas, entre tantas elegí la del primer boceto, no quería dibujar un personaje a cuerpo completo, así que quise hacer un fanart de medio cuerpo. Personalmente me encanta dibujar con colores azules y tomando el elemento agua, así que esta carta fue una excusa, en parte, para hacer lo que me gusta dibujar.

I started scribbling a lot of ideas, I chose the one from the first sketch, I didn't want to draw a full body character, so I wanted to do a half body fanart. I personally love drawing with blue colors and taking on the water element, so this letter was an excuse, in part, to do what I like to draw.

No supe identificar el diseño de las orejas del personaje original, por momentos pensé que eran unas orejas parecidas a las algas, otras veces espuma... así que quise interpretarla a mi modo y dibujé dos caracoles con diseños extravagantes que servirían de orejas, además agregué otro encima de su cabeza a modo de corona. En mi fanart decidí poner dos arpones en vez de uno, de este modo aprovecharía aún más la posición cruzada de los brazos.

I couldn't identify the design of the ears of the original character, at times I thought they were ears similar to algae, other times foam... so I wanted to interpret it my way and I drew two snails with extravagant designs that would serve as ears, as well I added another on top of her head as a crown. In my fanart I decided to put two harpoons instead of one, in this way I would take advantage of the crossed position of the arms even more.

En un primer momento pensé en hacer el mismo collar con conchas marinas que tenía personaje, pero decidí sólo utilizar la perla de esas ostras, lo cual sería sostenida por una especia de coral que habría alrededor del personaje a modo de ropa. Sería un perla muy reluciente. También agregué algunas prendas de ropa del diseño original para mantener una similitud.

At first I thought of making the same necklace with seashells that the character had, but I decided to only use the pearl from those oysters, which would be supported by a kind of coral that would be around the character as clothing. It would be a very shiny pearl. I also added some clothing items from the original design to maintain a similarity.

Me enfoqué en pulir el diseño del rostro y cabello, el rostro de mis personajes suelen ser de una expresión melancólica, con gemas en los ojos, grandes lágrimas y un gran cabello con muchas ondas. Este último tendría más sentido al estar bajo el agua, pues el mismo adquiere otra movilidad por la espesura del mar.

I focused on polishing the design of the face and hair, the faces of my characters usually have a melancholic expression, with gems in their eyes, big tears and long hair with lots of waves. The latter would make more sense when being underwater, since it acquires another mobility due to the thickness of the sea.
