DuceCrypto's S179 - SPS Reward Seasonal Report Card

I enjoyed another record-setting season, but without the formal tracker service from @kiokizz, I'm going to run it back by cobbling together data from the game client and the account history tool from @beaker007. If this is the new normal, I'm cool with it. SPS growth has never been better!
Season 179 proved to be even more successful as @altumns grows into his position with a seemingly endless appetite for jamming Modern & tournament battles. In Wild, the goal was to play the minimum of 100 battles so I could qualify for the leaderboard and easily earn the two champion league promotion rewards.
Finally for the Survival Bracket, I kept it simple with a hands-on approach to Bracket XI, the most populated expert bracket for the biggest automated payout. Running the bot every 24-27 hours, I could maximize the recovery of my collection to start each session as freshly as possible to maintain a strong winning percentage and reward share.

Ranked Report
Modern Performance

My amazing modern scholar @altumns improved again in Season 179, raising his win percentage by about 1.5%. He played around 90 fewer battles in S179, finishing a bit further down the leaderboard, in 8th place rather than 4th place. But ultimately, 4th and 8th both earned the same 350K Glint bonus, so the placement outside the Top 3 didn't matter much. Despite playing 90 fewer Modern battles, it appears that Duce played and won the second-most battles (behind @lorkus), winning 508 of 816 battles for a 62.25% win rate overall.
Wild Performance

In Wild, the @splinterhub bot continued to dominate on its way to an easy Top 100 finish. Instead of playing to 4300 rating, I meant to play the minimum 100 battles. But I got a little distracted, and the bot played an extra 14! I'm not sure if the benefit of being on the leaderboard for a mininum prize of 50K Glint (5 energy) is worth all the extra churn of energy to get to 100 battles.
The ultimate goal is to open both league promotion rewards for Champ 2 and 1. I'm not even spreading out the energy use, so extra daily rewards is a moot point. I'm sure the bot could get me to 4300 rating in much fewer than 100 battles, so maybe it is a better strategy to maximize Modern battles played. I'll have to be more conservative with opening the major loot chests early in the season to spread out that extra energy loot!
The bot dipped from 71.4% in S178 to just 63.2% in S179, winning 72 of 114 battles. The collection was largely the same, although new cards in the format through airdrops and promotions can swing gameplay from season to season. In S178, it took 84 battles to climb 900 rating, so it is reasonable to expect both league promotions in under 60 Modern battles. 40 battles is a considerable savings for 50K Glint. Sorry Altumns, left a bunch of battles on the table!
Survival Performance

In Survival, I took 7th place (rating & rPts) in Survival Bracket XI with about 7.9M rPts. @instamental has a heavy grinding approach and finished with 7.1M, further down the ratings in 36th place with 54% winrate. There is a fine balance to Survival and optimizing your collection's strengths and strategies. @blazekos had the best win rate in the Top 8, and I was about 1.5% behind him.
Off the screen in 9th place, @sprstoner raked in 19M+ rPts and played nearly 3x more Survival battles than I did. Clearly, my collection is much thinner than his. If SPS in Survival comes back in a serious way, having a second wave of units after my main collection 1ofs may be viable enough to recall key cards & archons from my rental account. That would be quite interesting indeed!

Quite a contrast in Survival style and setup. I can imagine people with FLEETS of Chaos Legion sets lined up to battle for hours. I know even with my 1of setup, it can take about 3 hours of constant searching and playing to get through a session of 75 battles. Sometimes the session ends if there are 4 losses in a row, sometimes it ends if the client fails to find multiple times, and sometimes it ends if the scholar is hungry to play more Modern battles, nom nom nom!!!
Tournaments Report

Again with the @sps.dao tournaments, Altumns improved his performance compared with the previous season, bringing in nearly 1500 SPS more. He finished Season 179 with 18875 SPS from 25 tournament events, cashing in every single one! He only missed qualifying for Day 2 in four of the 25 events, which is a great conversion rate playing in four different formats across four different levels.
Altumns placed in the Top 4 in SIX events and in the Top 8 in another SIX events, making at least Top 8 in 12 of the 25 events during S179. There are some juicy prizes in the Top 8, with four wins over 1500 SPS. He managed to take first in two events: Wild Advanced GF out of 49 players and Wild Expert out of 117 players!
The tournament scholarship is going better than I ever could have dreamed since Duce is no longer fleeing a third of its tournament battles! I don't wake up in a panic over what tournaments I need to submit before getting ready to start my day. And the best part -- we averaged 755 SPS from each event in S179, winning 18875 SPS from 25 SPS DAO events.
Ranked Rewards
| Ranked Play Wins | Tokens Received |
|---|---|
| Modern SPS Rewards Claimed | ⭐48944.868 SPS |
| Wild SPS Rewards Claimed | ⭐1542.536 SPS |
| Survival SPS Rewards Claimed | ⭐11605.308 SPS |
| Season Rewards Claimed | ✨3,282,981 Glint |
Season 179 showed a small regression in Modern and an increase in Wild, mostly because of the small changes in total battles played. Based on the 508 wins from 816 battles in S179, I got 96.3 SPS/win and 60 SPS/battle in Modern, up 16 and 11 respectively, from S178. Comparatively, my Wild ranked splits are more modest. I barely cracked 1.5K SPS with 74 wins in 114 battles. In Wild, I got 20.8 SPS/win and 13.5 SPS/battle, which are darn close to the S178 averages.
In Survival, my share of the SPS pool decreased from 14.5K in S178 to 11.6K in S179, which is sad to say now because the SPS is completely gone. But it makes sense while the team thinks about new Survival strategies, because I don't think the current system was winning too many fans, just obedient players. Anyway, it proved to be a good training ground for the Modern Brackets, even though I don't like what happened with the expert bracket minimum limits during the proposal phase.
Well, the huge pile of Glint will cheer me up. Over 3.25M Glint was earned from ranked play in S179. There's also an additional 350K Glint for Top 10 on the Modern ranked leaderboard and 50K Glint for Top 100 on the Wild ranked leaderboard, bringing my final tally close to 3.65M Glint. That's sure going to buy a lot of loot chests! I might even save some Glint for my avatar -- just kidding -- the extra Glint will get spent on more energy!
⭐ SPS Report

For the 2nd straight season, I'm over 100K in Net SPS with a 3K increase from last season! DuceCrypto brought in over 109K SPS across six main streams: Staking, Validating, Ranked, Brawl, Land, and Tournaments. Ranked led the way with just over 62K SPS from the three formats combined. Modern accounted for nearly 79% of the total SPS earned from ranked play. Wild was about 1.5K SPS.
The total seasonal rewards for staking (holding staked SPS) and validating (delegating staked validator nodes) both finished around 1700 SPS for Season 179. Brawl provided an additional 420 SPS, so I got about 4K SPS from staking, validating, and brawling combined!
SPS from my 12 occupied plots stayed around 24.2K, making for some bountiful harvests during S179. I do expect a dip in my SPS output over the next few seasons, as I get my land reorganized and reoptimized after consolidating into #PandonReach Region 41. My goal of becoming resource self-reliant is going well as I focus higher PP into fewer premium plots. If I can finish a second deal soon, I should be mostly moved out of the Northeast into my new home by the end of the weekend.
I'm looking to trim quite a bit of the DEC tied up as stake for my common plots to invest into Escalation, and I might have a few extra land workers for sale when the consolidation concludes. It should be a considerable savings to my bottom line to be able to realize all of my SPS and Aura gains without the tax of buying resources to make each harvest!
Finally, a season-best 18875 SPS from tournaments also helped contribute to the mind-melting SPS total of 109109 SPS received in Season 179. Of course, not all of it gets locked away as staked SPS. I pay out a good share to my scholar for his outstanding work playing Modern and tournaments through the help of the @rapidsps service for liquid SPS rewards.
Although the SPS price is still slipping, I continue to HODL most of my stack, while I buy Escalation packs with the winnings from my two alt accounts. Even at the low spot price of 0.00455 USD, the 109109 SPS is valued at over $496. That's a lot of ice cream money!
Of course, a big thank you for the time and effort that @altumns puts into the game every day of the season. My share of additional staked SPS earned in Season 179 was a significant step up from what I could manage on my own, and the time saved in my day-to-day is a huge help during the busy spring testing season. I am excited to see what the future brings for our partnership in Praetoria. While I'm itching to get back to Modern play, I'm still a bit limited. Until next time...

Thank you for providing the liquid SPS. It is very helpful for my scholar!
