DuceCrypto's S180 - SPS Reward Seasonal Report Card

Old habits die hard... and once again I've delayed my Seasonal SPS Report so long we have already finished the following season. So bear with me as I turn back the clock to look at the success I enjoyed during #Splinterlands Season 180, which ran from March 30 through April 15, 2026. Thanks again to the account history tool from @beaker007 to help me track my rewards each season.
Season 180 was pretty consistent with the returns earned during S179. My scholar @altumns continues to grow into his position with a seemingly endless appetite for jamming Modern & tournament battles. In Wild, the goal was to play the minimum of 100 battles to qualify for the leaderboard and earn the two champion league promotion rewards.
Finally, for the Survival Bracket, I kept it simple with a hands-on approach to Bracket X, the most populated expert bracket for the biggest automated payout of Glint and the new reward card, Darkguard Hellion. Running the bot every 24-27 hours, I maximized the recovery of my collection to start each session as freshly as possible to maintain a high rating and strong win rate. Let's jump into the numbers!

Ranked Report
Modern Performance

My talented Splinterlands scholar @altumns improved again in Season 180, raising his win percentage by about 0.5%. Admittedly, I jumped in and played a handful of battles during S180, so he likely did even better than the 63% win rate shows, since I will openly admit I didn't maintain a 60% win rate over my battles. From my limited view of the Top 7 in Modern, it looks like Duce played and won more battles than any other account, winning 521 of 826 battles for a 63% win rate overall.
Wild Performance

In Wild, the @splinterhub bot continued to dominate on its way to an easy Top 100 finish. Instead of playing to a 4300 rating for Champion 1, I had it play the minimum of 100 battles to qualify for the Wild leaderboard. The bot won at an insane rate of 74% and held onto a Top 50 spot despite only playing Wild battles on the first day of the new season, March 30th.
Still, I'm not sure if the extra energy used in Wild to make it onto the leaderboard is worth it. I think next season I will just have the bot play the minimum battles to get to a 4300 rating, as the extra energy used is not worth the 150K Glint earned from being on the leaderboard. 150K Glint is just 15 energy in Champion Ranked played.
The chance for GLORY in any of those reward loot chests makes it worth paying for the battle pass & the SHbot automation to get to 4300 rating for the two champion league promotions. Those are some of the most exciting flips I watch every season on playback. Thank goodness for Blockchain!
The bot improved from 63.2% in S179, winning 72 of 114 battles, to 74% in S180, winning 74 of 100 battles. The collection was largely the same, so it must be the luck of the cards that led to a 10% improvement. Or maybe Splinterhub was able to improve its Wild dominance even more! Two more wins in 14 fewer battles is fantastic work.
Survival Performance

Oh Survival, what in the heck are we doing here? Is this even worth it? I already have so many battles that I cannot play them all myself. And now this new Survival format for Glint, cards, and even more Glory?! Well anyway, wouldn't you know, a collection that is mostly Gold Foil fully regenerates pretty quickly, so I'm not THAT punished for mostly having 1-ofs without renting for this format.
As it turns out, rating is now the name of the game in Survival, so care must be taken not to go on big losing streaks (hard stop at 4) when a collection gets depleted past a point of no return. I've tightened up my length of session, and still try to run for a few hours when I can keep archon rate above a certain level. Once you lose some of those key threats, its time to let them rest and recover. A full squad helps me cover a lot of ground in the mid-season when other collections are still struggling to recover from the opening onslaught. Those 40 point losses are ugly!
I made a late push in the early morning (USA ET) before End of Season to pass my dedicated guildmate @bravetofu, but due to preference for Wild traffic, since you know it is an SPS-paying format, I was stuck "in queue" for the last few hours of the season without the chance to make that late run at another strong guildmate, @vugtis. All for two more common cards. I see who had the best win rate in the Top 5 tho! Top 3 Survival Collections... Glory, Glory, Glory! The Kingdom Reigns!
Tournaments Report

Altumns continues to dial in his performances as he gains a better working knowledge of my scattered wild/GF cards to deal with these @sps.dao tournaments at varying league levels. He finished Season 180 with 16692.54 SPS from 25 tournament events, cashing in every single one he got to play! Unfortunately, due to some tech issues, he missed two events and snuck in a single win in a third, but it is still WAY better than my feeble performances like the end of 2025.
Despite those three mishaps, he only missed Day 2 in one other event, Wild Expert, mostly because my collection just isn't as complete as some of my competition at the top tables. Making Day 2 in 21 of the 22 events he fully played is a testament to his ability to play in four different formats across four different league levels.
Altumns placed in the Top 4 in SEVEN events and in the Top 16 in another 12 events, making at least Top 16 in 19 of the 25 events in S180. There are some juicy prizes in the Top 16, with 11 wins over 500 SPS. He managed to take first in the Conclave Arcana Gold Foil Advanced event out of 40 players!
The tournament scholarship is going better than I ever could have dreamed since Duce is no longer fleeing a third of its tournament battles! I don't wake up in a panic over what tournaments I need to submit before getting ready to start my day. And the best part -- we averaged 667 SPS from each event in S180, winning 16692 SPS from 25 SPS DAO events.
Ranked Rewards
| Ranked Play Wins | Tokens Received |
|---|---|
| Modern SPS Rewards Claimed | ⭐48584.065 SPS |
| Wild SPS Rewards Claimed | ⭐2016.586 SPS |
| Survival SPS Rewards Claimed | ⭐JK 000 SPS |
| Season Rewards Claimed | ✨3,498,126 Glint |
Season 180 showed a tick up in Modern and Wild, mostly because of the efficiency of the Day 1 run to 100 battles. In Wild, the 74% win rate meant better winning streaks for better payouts. In Modern, the battles I didn't "waste" in Wild as I did in S179 meant that I had more energy for more battles. Duce increased its overall wins by 13, with only 10 more battles played than S179.
Based on the 521 wins from 826 battles in S180, I averaged 93.2 SPS/win and 58.8 SPS/battle in Modern. Admittedly, I dragged the averages down a little bit, jamming battles myself. I'm rusty! Comparatively, my Wild ranked splits are trending up, but still more modest, due to the extensive bot traffic in the format. I barely cracked 2K SPS for my 70 wins in 100 battles. In Wild, I averaged 27.2 SPS/win and 20.1 SPS/battle, which are both up ~7 SPS from S179 averages.
Survival... say no more.
The huge pile of Glint cheered me up. It meant more loot chests and chances for premium jackpot prizes! Nearly 3.5M Glint was earned from ranked play in S180. There's also an additional 350K Glint for Top 10 on the Modern leaderboard, 150K Glint for Top 50 on the Wild leaderboard, and 375K Glint for 2nd on the Bracket X Survival leaderboard, bringing my final tally over 4.37M Glint. That's sure going to buy a lot of loot chests!
I might even save some Glint for my avatar -- just kidding -- the extra Glint will get spent on more energy! Plus, I kinda dig leaving my avatar on Level 42. I still haven't decided on any of my avatar unit stats. I'll likely continue to buy Batch 1 for the epic and legend draws each season to try to spike Gold Foils, but the remainder of my Glint will be used on a couple of batches of all the loot chests and a lot more energy. We love to battle!
⭐ SPS Report
| Type | ⭐ Amount |
|---|---|
| Staking Rewards | 1992.922 |
| Validator Rewards | 1792.730 |
| Ranked Rewards as above | 50600.651 |
| Brawl Rewards | 285.401 |
| Land Rewards | 7334.729 |
| SPS DAO Tournament | 16692.54 |
| NET SPS | 78,698.973 |
Due to my 70% reduction in mining SPS from land because of my recent relocation to Pandon Reach Region 41 and the removal of thousands of SPS from Survival mode, my NET SPS from Season 180 slipped just under 80K to 78699. Duce has six main streams to generate SPS: Staking, Validating, Ranked, Brawl, Land, and Tournaments.
Ranked led the way with just over 50K SPS from Modern and Wild. Modern accounted for a whopping 96% of the total SPS earned from ranked play. Wild was only 2K SPS. The total seasonal rewards for staking (holding staked SPS) and validating (holding activated validator nodes) finished around 2K and 1.8K, respectively, in Season 180. Brawl provided an additional 285 SPS, so I got about 4K PS from staking, validating, and brawling combined!
I sold off a portion of my occupied plots since it was costing me DEC every harvest to purchase resources I couldn't create. The mined SPS was not pure profit since I was paying back a good amount of the SPS value in DEC just to make the harvest. With this in mind, I moved from Regions 27, 95, 97, and 136 down to Pandon Reach #41 to condense my PP resources onto more select, premium plots for more sustainable returns.

Although I'm down to just 7.3K in mined SPS for S180, I'm hopeful this number will get back around 15K SPS per season when I get back to full strength. With 100% plots running, I'll have 40 plots active, including 9 occupied plots, 5 Aura plots, and 2 Keeps.
Although the SPS price is still slipping, I continue to HODL most of my stack, while I buy some Escalation packs with the winnings from my two alt accounts. Even at the low spot price of 0.00418 USD, the 78699 SPS is valued at $329. That's a lot of ice cream money!
Of course, a big seasonal thank you for the time and effort @altumns puts into the game every day of the season. My share of additional staked SPS earned in Season 180 is a significant step up from what I could manage on my own, and the time saved in my day-to-day affairs is a huge help during the busy spring testing season. I am excited to see what the future brings for our partnership in Praetoria. While I'm itching to get back to Modern play, I'm still a bit limited. I'll try to sneak in a few battles here and there, but just know that if I manage to win, be ready to hear about it in The Tavern. Until next time...
