Land is almost here - and I am testing with my real items!

This is the real deal folks - the testing is happening! This isn't some random test, this is testing with the real items in your account, taken from a snapshot. You can test too if you are a 'mav' by going here.

The first thing some people are noting in the chat, is that the snapshot wasn't exactly right, especially for some of the higher number regions. This is not really a bug, since the live version will not be working off of a snapshot, but a live reading of the api. So I am not too worried about this, although some people seem to imagine this is the end of the world.

To me, everything is wonderful, and I am learning important things before we get started that will save me time later.

Load your grain, claim your totems.

The first thing most people notice, that I noticed, was that the game said I had zero grain, even though I should have grain from my survey package. This grain is in your 'inventory' though, and can be transfered to any region without fee. Future grain, produced within regions, will need to pay a transport fee to move to another region.

You may need to do this multiple times if you are working in multiple regions.

The next question people might run into is - where are my totems? You have to claim them.

Claiming totems ingame makes them untradeable on HIVE-ENGINE, so be aware that once you want to use the totems, they will not be re-tokenizeable to trade.

The next thing to do is probably to stake some DEC. You can get to this screen by pressing the + sign next to the staked DEC resource.

image.png

You can stake DEC anytime, but I did it in this order.

The next thing you might want to get into is putting production items and cards on your plots. These screens are very intuitive, although they require a number of clicks and each time the screen snaps back to the top - so you will have to scroll down 5 times and if you have a lot of cards it will take slightly more time than you might like.

If you have a Runi and a power core, which is easy to put on, the 'sixth' card is just in the normal 5th card slot. After that you can add titles and totems - everything is looking really good!

image.png

After adding all the items and cards, don't forget to select a building site - otherwise your monsters won't be producting!

This is the last screen, but somehow I missed it several times by clicking back to the plot selection screen, and just had the cards sitting there on the plot not doing anything. So make sure you check out this last screen and hit 'BUILD', using Time Crystals if you got 'em.

Your plots will then begin producing, giving you daily production figures as well as hourly, but actually the numbers will be going up every second. Slowly but surely we earn!

This is going to be fun! Check out this claim:

Now these are definitely not the real numbers, yet. But we know that not all the plots will be able to mine SPS, others will need to produce grain. Maybe some people will only produce grain, we think the DEC:GRAIN pool will be out shortly after land is released.

Does everyone have enough Time Crystals? We will see, we have been selling some for 80 DEC a piece, they will be available in game for 100 DEC each.

The flywheel might actually activate - remember there is game theory involved here, and not all of it obvious.

The real question is these research points. Word on the street is that they will 'never be easier to get', but for now, they have no value except for the guy who earns the most in each territory. Let's see what whitepaper 2.0 holds - I think that's coming 'soon'.

I don't have any land, but it looks like it's coming along well. I have heard that some numbers were wrong and land was delayed to due to a bug. It's quite nice to see such a decent payout though.

Now the way we're seeing the team is giving updates and we're also seeing the Land gameplay coming, we're seeing prices go up.
