Pandon Reach is looking for YOU!

We are getting closer and closer to the legendary 'LAND' starting over at Splinterlands - make no mistake, this is 'the game' for this great defi/tokenomics NFT project, and will be getting lots of attention not just from players, but continual development from the team over the next many years. There is so much possibilty, so much room for expansion. This is going to be a great ride!

As you may know, I am the regional manager for Pandon Reach, a wonderfully magical region in the Broken Lands. I have read the Praetoria Whitepaper five times, and keep it on my bookmark bar for safe keeping.

As I write this, I am listening to last nights Town Hall, there are details about land, and I am eager to know them. The more we find out, the more it becomes clear that 'land' is the new flagship game for the Splinterlands company, filled with many future updates and surprises.

How can one prepare for something that we don't know a lot of details about? One this is to assemble a great team of interested players.

Working together is going to be important - especially as we begin exploring the unknown. I have participated in a guild for many years, called EARN - Eager Active Raiders of Noobies - and I am looking to expand this teamwork into Praetoria. I have been thinking about this for months, and even leaked the info to my guild, but since the details have been scarce, nothing much has been made of it - until now.

So we are not the first to implement this, another intrepid land entrepreneur has begun getting people/players into their region, and I think this is a good thing. This indicates that we are heading in the right direction, it validates the idea.

Our region is big, there is a lot of explore. We believe Pandon Reach has the potential to be one of the strongest and best regions in the game. But we won't be able to do it alone.

Tons of ideas are on the table, including using the taxes earned to motivate the players - either by building infrastructure, rewarding residents, or winning competitions that benefit us all. But so little information is known, its hard to make any hard promises and plans now. What I can say, is that the first players to get involved will benefit from all future promotions - I will make sure of that.

We will start with Tract 5, where our castle is located, and move out from there. Players can pick their favored terrain, we have a lot of different options including Mountains, Plains, Forest, Desert, Canyon, Hills and Caldera.

We have plenty of grain stored up for clearing lands, and we are happy to help small players get started in our region with heavily discounted grain shipments, if they need it. This is one thing that we know about 1.5, players will need grain and the only way they can get it is either by already having it, or paying 1 DEC each from the game - there will be no organic grain market at launch.

Future possibilities

In the future, we will dedicate at least a portion of tax revenue into ensuring our region is the most competetive out there. With all the unknowns, its hard to say but we are looking into the following options:

• Rewarding Residents with prizes or tax refunds
• Keeping regional infrastructure competetive and up-to-date
• Winning regional competitions
• Staying ahead of the competition
• Taking full advantage of our highly magical region

I still haven't set up a special discord space for Pandon Reach, but I am working on it within my guild. With this post the wheels have begun turning, and 'The Secret of Praetoria' is upon us 'soon'. The team assures us that by the end of the month we will be clearing these plots.
