Hello, Splinterlanders! 😄

Firstly I’d like to thank @cieliss for these tips on this awesome post. As you can see it helped me a lot to create my own thumbnail.

For the Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge (Theme: Dragons🐉) I chose the Robo-Dragon Knight since I think he might be the most powerful Dragon in the game.

Fun Fact: the Chinese Zodiac has 12 creatures and one of them is a Dragon which I think is the coolest! The last years of the Dragon was in 1988-2000-2012 and 88 is the year I borned! Besides that, they have elements: mine is Earth 🌿 (altough I’d rather pick Water 💧 or Fire 🔥)! If you are curious about your Chinese Zodiac, check the image below!

MARKET PRICE

Good news! If you wish to buy one BCX of RDK (Regular Foil) this is probably a good time to do it considering the price of the last 3 months as you can see below! (Not financial advise!) In March he used to cost around $ 58 against $ 23 in the present moment.

When and How should you use him?

• Mana Cap: usually 40 or more since he costs 11 Mana, that doesn’t mean he can’t be good in lower mana battles, but I don’t recommend it so much.

• Best position: 1st position, unless the rule permits him to attack in another place.

• Summoners: Daria Dragonscale due to her +1 Melee Attack, Brighton Bloom to increase the chances of dodging with Flying ability and Quix Devious for the same reason and to take less damage from Ranged attack, therefore he will be protected by his own void ability and against ranged monsters.

• Combinations with other abilities: Silence (Death Elemental, Mushroom Seer, Elven Mystic) ability will result in a zero damage against mages with 2 damage or less since they will have only one magic attack; Inspire (Silvershield Knight, River Hellondale and Tusk the Wide) + Pierce ability will inflict full damage on the enemy monsters unless he has a counter ability such as Shield and lastly: Resurrect + Divine Shield, he will be brought to life clean of negative effects such as Poison and with Divine Shield again! Lastly, Magic Reflect/Return Fire+Amplify.

• Best rule sets: equal opportunity/melee mayhem/super sneak then you don’t need to put him in the 1st position. Explosive weaponry: his divine shield will protect from the first blast and also he has a good attack to spread the blast ability. Weak Magic: it would work like he owns void armor and also his own void ability, he will be tough to kill!

• Rule Sets to avoid: Back to basics, Holy Protection, Equaliser (on low-mid mana) and Unprotected: all of them will take off part of his good attributes or make them redundant like: Holy Protection.

LINEUP

As you can see below all of the elements were available with 50 Mana Cap + Super Sneak and Stampade.

• Summoner: Quix Devious since I only own this one at max level for Silver League, therefore it was the only chocie! Otherwise I would pick Daria Dragonscale.

• Main Tank: RDK, in case my opponent decides to go with heavy magic attack his Void ability would tank well.

• Desert Dragon: he also has pierce ability, but with Trample! Which is great on Stampade ruleset. Besides that, I was expecting that my opponent would go for heavy melee damage and most of the melee monster has some armor. Be aware: Trample doesn’t work with Sneak because the targeted monster it is in the last position!

• Disintegrator:as mentioned before, Demoralize is a great ability to counter heavy melee attack. Also he has Trample just like Desert Dragon (same logic)

• Exploding Rats: the blast ability + high speed is great in Equal Opportuity or Super Sneak. An important thing to take into account and improve your strategy: in Super Sneak monsters with Opportunity/Reach/Snipe will still target the last monster, therefore my Exploding Rats was safe in position 4!

• Djinn Chwalla: he is the secondary tank in the backline due to his Thorns ability.

• Forgotten One: since it is Super Sneak rule, his Retaliate ability is perfect! Even before I submit my battle I was very confident that I would win.

THE BATTLE

Key points of the battle:

• Retaliate helped a lot! Altough the 3rd time was triggered Forgotten missed the attack.
• Disintegrator had a big role on both sides to neutralize the quick destruction between the melee monsters.
• Djinn Chwalla’s Thorns ability possibly was even more effective than Forgotten One’s Retaliation.
• RDK stayed alive until the end of the battle fullfilling his role of main tank flawlessly.

Two things that didn’t work and I could do different next time.

• Exploding Rats could be replaced by Elven Mystic (Silence), Venari Spellsmith (Amplify with Thorns) or Antoid Platoon (Shield)
• Also, not so sure if Desert Dragon was very efficient, he would fit better on Melee Mayhem rule set to activate the Trample ability targeting the 1st position. Maybe Fineas Rage would fit better!

• Best position: 1ª posição, a menos que a regra permita atacar em outro local.

• Invocadores: Daria Dragonscale devido ao seu +1 Ataque corpo a corpo, Brighton Bloom para aumentar as chances de esquivar com a habilidade de Voar e Quix Devious pelo mesmo motivo e sofrer menos dano de ataque à distância, portanto, ele será protegido pela sua habilidade Void e contra aques de longo alcance.

• Boas combinações com outras habilidades: A habilidade Silenciar (Death Elemental, Mushroom Seer, Elven Mystic) resultará em dano zero contra magos com 2 de dano ou menor, pois terão apenas um ataque mágico; Inspirar (Silvershield Knight, River Hellondale e Tusk the Wide) + A habilidade Perfurar causará dano total nos monstros inimigos, a menos que ele tenha uma habilidade de contra-ataque como Escudo e, por último: Ressurreição + Escudo Divino, ele será trazido à vida livre de efeitos negativos como Veneno e com Escudo Divino novamente!

• Melhores conjuntos de regras: igualdade de oportunidades / caos corpo a corpo / super furtividade, nessas regras você não precisará colocá-lo na 1ª posição. Armas explosivas: seu escudo divino protegerá da primeira explosão e também tem um bom ataque para espalhar a habilidade de explosão. Magia Fraca: funciona como se ele tivesse tanto a habilidade void como void armor, ele será bem difícil de matar!

• Conjuntos de regras para evitar: De volta ao básico, Proteção Divina, Equalisador (em mana low-mid) e Desprotegido: todos eles vão tirar parte de seus bons atributos ou torná-los redundantes como: Proteção Divina.

Como você pode ver, todos os elementos estavam disponíveis com 50 Mana Cap + Super Furtivo e Debandada

• Invocador: Quix Devious é meu único invocador de Dragão no nível máximo para Liga Prataa, portanto, a única escolha! Caso contrário, eu escolheria Daria Dragonscale.

• Main Tank: CRD, Caso meu oponente decida ir com ataque de magia em peso, sua habilidade Void o tornará um ótimo tanque.

• Dragão do Deserto: ele também tem habilidade de perfurar, mas com Pisotear! O que é ótimo no conjunto de regras de Debandada. Além disso, eu estava esperando que meu oponente escolhesse dano corpo a corpo pesado e a maioria dos monstros corpo a corpo tem alguma armadura. Esteja ciente: Pisotear não funciona com Furtivo porque o monstro alvo está na última posição!

• Deseintegrador: como mencionado anteriormente, Desmoralizar é uma ótima habilidade para combater ataques corpo a corpo pesados. Também ele tem Trample como Desert Dragon (mesma lógica)

• Exploding Rats: ta habilidade de explosão + alta velocidade é ótima em Equal Opportuity ou Super Sneak. Uma coisa importante a ter em conta e melhorar a sua estratégia: em Super Sneak monstros com Opportunity/Reach/Snipe ainda terão como alvo o último monstro, portanto meus Exploding Rats estariam seguros na posição 4!

• Djinn Chwalla: : ele é o tanque secundário na linha de trás devido à sua habilidade de Espinhos.

• Forgotten One: como é regra do Super Sneak, sua habilidade de retaliação é perfeita! Mesmo antes de finalizar minha batalha eu estava muito confiante de que venceria.

THE BATTLE

Pontos-chave da batalha:

• Retaliar ajudou muito! Apesar da 3ª vez ter sido acionada, Forgotten perdeu o ataque.

• Desintegrador teve um grande papel em ambos os lados para neutralizar a rápida destruição entre os monstros corpo a corpo.

• A habilidade Espinhos de Djinn Chwalla possivelmente foi ainda mais eficaz que a Retaliação do Esquecido.

• CRD permaneceu vivo até o final da batalha cumprindo perfeitamente seu papel de tanque principal.

Duas coisas que não funcionaram tão bem e eu poderia fazer diferente da próxima vez:

• Ratos Explosivos poderiam ser substituídos por: Elven Mystic (Silence), Venari Spellsmith (Amplify with Thorns) ou Antoid Platoon (Shield)

• Além disso, não tenho certeza se Dragão do Deserto foi eficiente, ele se encaixaria melhor na regra Caos corpo a corpo para ativar a habilidade de atropelar visando a 1ª posição. Talvez Fineas Rage se encaixasse melhor!
