[EN/PT] A BRIEF ACCOUNT OF SPLINTERLANDS. IS IT STILL WORTH PLAYING?

When I started in the world of NFT Games, in August 2021, I was looking to find a consolidated game and ended up parachuting into the amazing @play2earn world of @splinterlands.

As soon as I learned the dynamics of the game, I gradually acquired some cards from the Untamed edition and built my deck, which is still under construction today, lol. I currently have 159 cards from the Untamed, Dice, Chaos Legion editions and of course the Rewards (acquired over that time in daily and end-of-season quests).

At the time of writing, my deck is worth approximately $2730 at Market Price and a Collection Power (CP) of 185K. I've been accumulating the SPS governance token, received in the daily airdrops, every day I earn an average of 15 SPS and I'm putting it in Stake, because I never stopped believing in the project.

I currently have around 2000 SPS and my goal is to get to at least 5000 SPS. There are 83 days left to finish the airdrop and I will still receive approximately 1000 SPS and the rest I intend to buy. The long-term trend is for the SPS to have greater value, since the developers intend to give it more uses, such as the purchase of the RIFTWATCHERS pack which will be exclusively with SPS.

The DECs gained in the game I usually buy some cards that interest me, but I rarely let it accumulate much. One of the things I would like to buy was at least 2 Land Plots, because the prices are more attractive with patience to buy a Land for about $200, at BOOM it was worth about $800.

I play every day because it's exciting to open daily quest chests in hopes of getting a gold foil legendary card. But, financially, I can earn more DEC by renting the cards than playing, especially at the end of the season. However, I rent few cards and prefer to wait for luck to get something good in the chests.

In the month, I can accumulate around 10K DEC which is around $15 at the current price. And from SPS airdrop I can earn around $50 (460 SPS). I won't include the gains in the daily quests, because it's very lucky to come out something good if you can get an epic card in gold leaf it's costing about $10 and if it's a legendary it averages about $50. Apart from the gains with trading cards that I do sometimes.

In 1 month of play, adding up the gaming earnings and the passive earnings, you can get around $70, which is pretty conservative. This is currently because the cryptocurrency market is not in a very good cycle. At the time of Splinterlands BOOM I made over $400 a month.

Analyzing the value gained by the amount invested (70/2730) we arrive at 2.5% profitability per month, or 37% per year, there are applications with a gain of 120% per year, being conservative in the crypto world. Or analyzing by ROI, it would take about 39 months (3 years and 3 months) to recover the amount invested, under current conditions and remembering that we are subject to a variable income market. As I have already withdrawn the amount invested in the game, I keep my cards and intend to acquire more cards whenever possible.

In conclusion, if we analyze Splinterlands earnings, we see that financially it is not so attractive, as there are several DEFIs with more attractive returns. However, if we look at the long term, we have a lot to be developed in Splinterlands, such as the implementation of Lands Plots and card appreciation. So I continue to believe in the long-term project of every NFT game I played was the only one I'm still active.

[PT] UM BREVE RELATO DE SPLINTERLANDS. AINDA VALE A PENA JOGAR?

Quando iniciei no mundo dos Jogos NFTs, em meados de agosto de 2021, procurava encontrar um jogo consolidado e acabei caindo de paraquedas no incrível mundo @play2earn de @splinterlands.

Assim que aprendi a dinâmica do jogo fui aos poucos adquirindo algumas cartas da edição Untamed e construindo meu baralho, que ainda hoje está em construção, rsrsrsrs. Atualmente, tenho 159 cartas das edições Untamed, Dice, Caos Legion e é claro as Rewards (adquiridas ao longo desse tempo nas quests diárias e finais de temporada).

No momento que escrevo, meu baralho tem valor aproximado de $ 2730 pelo Market Price e um Poder de Coleção (CP) 185K. Venho acumulando o token de governança SPS, recebido nos airdrop diários, todos os dias ganho em média 15 SPS e vou colocando em Stake, pois nunca deixei de acreditar no projeto.

Atualmente, tenho cerca de 2000 SPS e meu objetivo é chegar a pelo menos 5000 SPS. Faltam 83 dias para terminar o airdrop e ainda receberei aproximadamente 1000 SPS e o restante pretendo comprar. A tendência a longo prazo é que o SPS tenha maior valor, uma vez que, os desenvolvedores pretendem dar mais utilidades ao mesmo, como a compra dos pack RIFTWATCHERS que será exclusivamente com SPS.

Os DECs ganhos em partida eu geralmente vou comprando algumas cartas do meu interesse, mas dificilmente deixo acumular muito. Umas das coisas que gostaria de adquirir era pelo menos 2 Lands Plots, pois os preços estão mais atrativos com paciência dar para comprar uma Land por uns $ 200, no BOOM chegou a valer uns $ 800.

Nunca deixei de jogar se quer um dia, pois é emocionante a sensação de abrir os baús da quests diárias na esperança de vim uma carta lendária folha de ouro. Mas, financeiramente consigo ganhar mais DEC alugando as cartas do que jogando, principalmente no final de temporada. Porém, eu alugo poucas cartas e prefiro esperar pela sorte de tirar algo bom nos baús.

No mês, consigo acumular em torno de 10K DEC o que dar em torno de $15 na cotação atual. E de airdrop de SPS consigo ganhar em torno de $50 ( 460 SPS). Não vou incluir os ganhos nas quests diárias, pois é muito sorte sair algo bom se você conseguir retirar uma carta épica em folha de ouro está custando cerca de $10 e se for uma lendária em média uns $50. Fora os ganhos com Trade de cartas que faço as vezes.

Em 1 mês de jogo somando os ganhos jogando e os ganhos passivos dar para tirar em torno de $70, sendo bem conservador. Isto atualmente, pois o mercado de criptomoedas não anda em um ciclo muito bom. No momento de BOOM de Splinterlands cheguei a ganhar mais de $400 por mês.

Analisando o valor ganho pelo valor investido (70/2730) chegamos a 2.5% de rentabilidade ao mês, ou 37% ao ano, existem aplicações com ganho de 120% ao ano sendo conservador no mundo cripto. Ou analisando pelo ROI levaria cerca de 39 meses ( 3 anos e 3 meses) para recuperar o valor investido, nas condições atuais e lembrando que estamos sujeito a um mercado de renda variável. Como já retirei o valor investido no jogo mantenho minhas cartas e pretendo adquirir sempre que possível mais cartas.

Concluindo, se formos analisar os ganhos de Splinterlands vemos que financeiramente não é tão atraente, pois existem diversos DEFI com rentabilidades mais atraentes. Porém, se olharmos para o longo prazo temos muita coisa a ser desenvolvida em Splinterlands a exemplo da implementação das Lands Plots e valorização de cartas. Por isso, continuo acreditando no projeto a longo prazo e de todos os game NFT que jogava foi o único que ainda estou ativo.
