Pequeña Biografía.

​Un mantoide es un insecto flaco, parecido a una mantis religiosa, del tamaño de la cabeza de un duende. A medida que se acerca a su presa, el mantoide puede inclinar la cabeza con curiosidad de lado a lado y frotar las patas delanteras. La inclinación de la cabeza es en realidad un estiramiento del esófago mientras el mantoide se prepara para comer algo más ancho que su garganta. Lo que parece frotarse las piernas es en realidad el afilado sistemático de miles de diminutas navajas, preparándolas para cortar la carne como si fuera mantequilla.

Small biography.

​A mantoid is a skinny, praying mantis-like insect about the size of a goblin's head. As it approaches its prey, the mantoid may tilt its head curiously from side to side and rub its front legs together. The head tilt is actually a stretching of the esophagus as the mantoid prepares to eat something wider than its throat. What appears to be rubbing your legs is actually the systematic sharpening of thousands of tiny razors, preparing them to cut into meat like butter.

1 ) Elaboré el dibujo en una hoja blanca de cartulina de block, con lápiz de grafito.

1 ) I made the drawing on a white sheet of block cardboard, with a graphite pencil.

2 ) Inicié aplicando los colores; verde oscuro, verde claro y azul marino.

1. I started by applying the colors; dark green, light green and navy blue.

3 ) Para finalizar le apliqué los colores; amarillo y negro por todos los contornos del dibujo.

​
