Good morning, afternoon or evening, welcome to my post! This time I bring you a fan art of a card that I really like. It reminds me of a character from Greek mythology and that is mentioned at the beginning of the divine comedy written by Dante Alighieri; both have the mission of taking souls to hell. In Splinterlands we have the Dark Ferryman in the splinter of death, who transport not only Dark Eternals, but also the living in their ferries. Join me in reading this post where I show the most outstanding steps of this illustration and comment on the lore of this deadly card.

Buenos días, tardes o noches, ¡Bienvenidos a mi post! En esta ocasión les traigo un fan art de una carta que me agrada mucho. Me recuerda un personaje de la mitología Griega que es mencionado al principio de la en la divina comedia escrita por Dante Alighieri; ambos tienen la misión de llevar las almas al infierno. En Splinterlands tenemos los Dark Ferryman en el splinter de muerte, quienes transportan no solo a Dark Eternals, sino también a los vivos en sus transbordadores. Acompáñenme en la lectura de este post, donde muestro los pasos mas resaltantes de esta ilustración y comento el lore de esta mortal carta.

I start with an off-white background. What better color for our boatman? I draw a sketch with red lines, the color contrasts well with the color range I select for the illustration. With the idea that it serves as a guide in this illustration, in which I do not use lineart for the final piece.

Inicio con un fondo color hueso, ¿Qué mejor color para nuestro barquero? Trazo un bosquejo con líneas rojas, el color tiene buen contraste con la gama de colores que seleccioné para la ilustración. Con la idea que me sirva como guía en esta ilustración, en la que no utilicé line art para la pieza final.

I started doing the back raund spots. I always had to keep an eye on the Mortis gorges. We know that boats can't get close to the rocky shores of Mortis except in the port of Galzur.

Comencé haciendo las manchas del back raund. Tenía que tener en vista siempre los desfiladeros de Mortis. Sabemos que los barcos no pueden acercarse a las costas rocosas de Mortis excepto en el puerto de Galzur.

Dark Ferreman spots them along with his barge with the intention of fetching the Dark Eternals and mortals, who dare to visit the ports.

The rocky shores of Mortis have taken over the bones of fools, who for some reason tried to reach the shores without knowing where the port is. It is well known that all those who take the boat will always arrive safely at the port.

We already see the birds that feed on the corpses that are thrown on the coasts in the distance. Luckily we made the best decision and wait for a Dark Ferryman and we will arrive at a safe port when we start the trip.

Las aves que se alimentan de los cadáveres que son arrojados en las costas ya las vemos a lo lejos. Por suerte tomamos la mejor decisión y esperamos un Dark Ferryman y llegaremos a puerto seguro cuando iniciemos el viaje.

Always remember that the boatmen do not answer to the Lord of Darkness and possess powerful combat abilities. Perhaps all the bones that are under the water are not all victims of the rocky shores of Mortis. Those who have managed to survive know that their abilities they are rare in combat. They are also excellent when summoned to a tournament battle. Don't look them straight in the eye, madness and wisdom are separated by a thin thread.

Recuerda siempre que los barqueros no responden ante el Señor de la Oscuridad y poseen poderosas habilidades de combate.
