¡Hola, comunidad de Hive Gaming!

Aprovechando que acabo de encender los motores otra vez en la plataforma, decidí que no me iba a quedar solo escribiendo reflexiones. Si algo me gusta es pasar de la teoría a la práctica y documentar mis procesos, así que hoy me metí de lleno a explorar el ecosistema de juegos en la dApp de Hive Keychain. El que más me llamó la atención por su nivel competitivo y estrategia fue Splinterlands, y decidí probarlo para ver qué tal se me daba.

Al principio, cuando entras al panel principal, te abrumas un poco con tanta información. Ves barras de energía, misiones diarias y diferentes formatos como Modern, Wild o Frontier. Como me gusta explorar las cosas a fondo por mi cuenta, decidí dejar seleccionado el formato Frontier (que era el que venía marcado por defecto en la interfaz) y le di sin miedo al botón gigante de BATTLE.

⚡ La adrenalina de armar el equipo con el tiempo encima

La primera sorpresa fue que el juego no es solo dar clics. Te emparejan con un rival, te dan un presupuesto de "Maná" (en mi caso fueron 50 puntos, una locura para meter cartas pesadas) y arranca un contador de 3 minutos para armar tu estrategia.

Tuve que aprender rápido la regla de oro: colocar un buen tanque que resista los golpes en la primera casilla (línea de fuego) y acomodar a los magos y atacantes a distancia atrás para que disparen seguros. Es un ejercicio de pura lógica y optimización de recursos, muy parecido a armar un rompecabezas bajo presión.

🪙 Cumpliendo la primera meta: ¡300 Glints y a la tienda!

Me propuse completar la misión diaria de jugar 10 batallas. Ganes o pierdas, cada partida te va enseñando cómo se mueven los elementos (Fuego, Agua, Tierra...). Al terminar la racha, el sistema me soltó un aviso brutal: "You have earned 300 glint! Visit the shop!".

Con mis primeros 300 puntos en los bolsillos, me fui directo a la sección de recompensas (Glint Shop). Había cofres y varias opciones, pero preferí irme por lo seguro para empezar a construir mi propio mazo desde cero. Gasté mis 300 puntos exactos en dos tiradas de "Initiate Draw" (150 Glint cada una) que te garantizan cartas propias.

No les voy a mentir, abrir los primeros paquetes siempre da esa intriga de ver qué te depara el sistema. Las cartas que me salieron me ayudaron a empezar a entender cómo funcionan las diferentes facciones del juego, y una de las que capturé en el momento fue:

Taking advantage of the fact that I just fired up my engines on the platform again, I decided I wasn't just going to sit around writing reflections. If there's one thing I love, it's moving from theory to practice and documenting my journeys. So today, I dove headfirst into exploring the gaming ecosystem within the Hive Keychain dApp. The one that caught my attention the most due to its competitive edge and strategy was Splinterlands, and I decided to give it a shot to see how I'd do.

At first, when you enter the main dashboard, you get a bit overwhelmed with so much information. You see energy bars, daily quests, and different formats like Modern, Wild, or Frontier. Since I like to explore things thoroughly on my own, I decided to leave the Frontier format selected (which was the default option on the interface) and fearlessly hit that giant BATTLE button.

⚡ The Adrenaline of Building a Team Against the Clock

The first surprise was discovering that this game isn't just about mindless clicking. You get matched with an opponent, given a "Mana" budget (in my case, it was 50 points—insane enough to drop some heavy-hitting cards), and a 3-minute countdown starts to set up your strategy.

I had to quickly learn the golden rule: place a reliable tank to soak up damage in the first slot (the frontline) and position your mages and ranged attackers in the back so they can shoot safely. It's a pure exercise in logic and resource optimization, very much like putting together a puzzle under pressure.

🪙 Hitting the First Goal: 300 Glints and Off to the Shop!

I set a goal for myself to complete the daily quest of playing 10 battles. Win or lose, every single match teaches you how the elements move (Fire, Water, Earth...). Once I finished the streak, the system popped up an awesome alert: "You have earned 300 glint! Visit the shop!".

With my first 300 points in my pocket, I went straight to the rewards section (Glint Shop). There were chests and multiple options available, but I preferred to play it safe to start building my own deck from scratch. I spent my exact 300 points on two draws of "Initiate Draw" (150 Glint each), which guarantee you own the cards.

🔮 Beginner's Luck? | My First Reward Cards

I'm not going to lie, opening your very first packs always brings that awesome suspense of seeing what the system drops for you. The cards I pulled really helped me start understanding how the different factions in the game work. One of the ones I managed to capture on screen was:

• 🌿 Stonebind Matron: An Earth element card that acts as a pretty interesting support unit for the team, perfect for testing out synergies with tanks of the same element.
