The effect of single parenting.
Single parenting can result to a lot of challenges for both the parent and the child, some of this challenges include

Isolation

most single parents end up becoming a lonely and depressed set of people because they don't have some to support them in raising the child, all the responsibility is on them alone to bear. Some have to work hard so that they can put food on the table, some have to take a risky job in order to make it.

Limited time for self-care

some single parents don't even have the time to take care of themselves, some don't even have time for fun activities again because of what they have to take care of, some have to put themselves away in order to meet the needs of their child.

Lack of good home training

If you look around some children that is raised by one parents tend to lack some simple manners, especially the ones that is raised by their mom, the mom will always pamper them, some won't even allowed they to be exposed to hard work because they are the only child so they end up not having so characters. This kind of children lack the father figure or mother figure in their life's and may not really enjoyed that aspect just from one parents.

Low self esteem

Most children with single parents find it hard to be proud of themselves, we live where people talk about their parents and the support they get when this happens. Those without one parent may tend to feel bad and look down on themselves. In Nigeria if you are raised by a single parent it is believed that you may end up becoming a single parent, although I don't know how true this is but we have seen it happening and can be said to be true.

Single parenting comes with a lot of negativity including lack of the ability to balance work and family especially for the women, only few women can work hard providing for the family and still be able to take care of the children alone as this is very demanding for just one parent. But there are many single parents who have been able to stand their group and have been able to scale through all these difficulties with a heart of determination.

Single parents have little or no time for themselves as they try to be there for the kid at all time.

Because they lack time to care for themselves, they find themselves losing their self esteem in society. Even the society aren't helping these issues.

You've pointed out obvious challenges, thanks for participating 💯
