Building my NFT Gaming list (Mainly Hive Network)

Hello Bloggers and Browsers,

I wanted to talk about the different NFT games I play and talk a little bit about them, I'm quite new to NFT Gaming but I've really enjoyed looking into the communities and have enjoyed becoming part of some myself.

As a small disclaimer, I spend an average of about £60 per game I play as this is the price of an up to date console game so for me, this is a comfortable amount to put in so all of my accounts are to be assumed I've invested at least a minimum of that.

Splinterlands

Splinterlands is like the auto battlers of today but in the form of NFTs so each card you own is your own which can be sold and rented for the in-game Token DEC(Dark Energy Crystal). This game, in particular, is on mobile which you can download and play for free to try out but most of the main and good features are on the web like the ability to buy packs, use the market or take part in tournaments.

My first proper experience in NFT Gaming was Splinterlands and I have to say, I have a blast playing it. All my previous attempts to try NFT gaming ended up in failure as I ended up looking into games that were not out yet, the cost to start some are unreasonably high as I was mainly looking on the ETH blockchain.

Splinterlands currently has an airdrop going in which you get points for different things like holding currency or packs or building your collection in-game for this you'll be rewarded daily at about 4 pm UK time for your reward. If you hold the currency for your reward wait till after 4PM for the snapshot to take place before spending it to get the most out of it little tip I learned.

To get started you are presented with cards you can use which are free and untradable but you can buy cards separately in the market, or you can rent cards for a ridiculously cheap price especially at the beginning.

Buying the Spellbook from Splinterlands will help you get started in other Hive-based activities so if this interests you, I would suggest getting it as it gives you a default amount of hive power. I believe it is around 8HP.

RisingStarGame is my second favorite game atm, in this game you are a musician trying to build your way to stardom.
This game reminds me of the old popular Facebook(Now Meta🙃) games but the rewards in the game are great, you do not have to pay to get started, but you do need access to the hive platform. This game is set up in a way where you cannot jump in, invest £1000 and get a super advantage and I appreciate that having a good investment in the account does have its benefits but the fact it is not required, piques my interest more as when you see a hight Level account you know that person has put time and effort into the game.

In this game, the in-game currency Starbits are gained by doing the mission which helps level you up and rewards you every time, an example of this would be receiving a reward of 10-15 Starbits for the first mission, this mission takes 5 mins to complete and uses 15% of your 100% energy bar.
The amount you earn in Starbits goes up when you level, as you are able to do more rewarding missions. Getting the cards that can be bought with Starbits can increase the maximum you can earn for a mission this is where investing can benefit you. The missions in the game are split up in a way where you wouldn't spend your time just farming Starbits as there are missions that provide other benefits like part to craft special NFTs or Missions that help increase your skill stat which will be needed for progression.

An Example of a mission with my stats the max payout is based on stats the minimum is always the same this is a level 5 mission.

There are other ways to earn in this game but this way is the easiest and basic way to earn. The only requirement I would say is to withdraw you need to earn 1000 Starbits as they are withdrawn in bunches of 1000x, 5000x, 10000x ect, which once you are at a higher level (10-15) this can be earned at a reasonable pace.

I personally have a lot of enthusiasm for this game, as I do produce music as a hobby and this project is actually trying to help musicians by allowing their music to be made into NFTS and used in-game which would allow them to earn a small profit just fills me with hope and good vibes for the community it has the potential to build.

This game is also still in a Beta phase so there will be more to come which I am excited to see, as I am in the community discord I do get the sneak peeks for the updates.

Dcrop
Dcrop is another time-based game, you have to invest a little to get started but I can be as low as £5 as you only need a plot of land. To be clear the plot of land is only about 2 Hive at the time of writing this, and that is pretty much all you need besides seeds to plant and for 40 CROP the in-game token you can buy a mystery seed which will plant a random seed for the current season so you have the potential to actually get a really good seed.

In this game, you will have 4 seasons and in this season you would want to plant season based crops, as I mainly use mystery seeds the seed will always be a crop that can be used in the current season so this is a great pro to the con of not getting to choose your plant, you can buy seeds off the market place and these are not consumed but they have a cooldown but as you plant in seasons by the times the season comes around your seeds will be off cooldown.

Seasons last for 14days and are your usual spring, summer, fall, and winter. The time these crops take to grow will be a certain amount of days depending on the crop. then these are harvested into shares based on the quality of the harvest which will allow you to receive a reward of CROP tokens at the end of the season I believe but I am not 100% sure.

I am still new to this game and have a couple of days left of my harvest so I'm not 100% sure what the harvesting part will be like but I am looking forward to it nonetheless.

DCity
DCity is a city Simulator where you build a collection of NFT cards which as a whole represent your city, these cards can be basic housing or police stations.
in this game, you have to invest to start as to get these cards you need to mint them for 800 SIM the token for the game or pay 4 Hive.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get into this game as much as I had hoped, the structure of the game allows for taxes and wars which in turn add more tax and I tried to invest to put myself in a position to earn a small income to build the city but unfortunately even with my investment I was only able to muster 8 SIM a day which would mean 100 days to mint a new card.

I would like to look more into this one as maybe I was playing it in the wrong direction so I will definitely keep it on my radar as I am a big city simulation fan.

☹️

I am interested in knowing what games everyone plays that are fun and are not too expensive to get into as I do feel NFT gaming is going to be the future.😁
