Participación para el concurso de arte 269 de Splinterlands, inspirado en el Earth Elemental [Esp/Eng].

¡Muy buenas a todos!, tiempo sin presentarme por aquí con mis dibujos, hoy vine a mostrarles mi dibujo inspirado en la carta de Earth Elemental del juego #Splinterlands, para participar en el Splinterlands Art Contest Week 269.

Hello everyone, long time no show here with my drawings, today I came to show you my drawing inspired by the Earth Elemental card from the game #Splinterlands, to participate in the Splinterlands Art Contest Week 269.

La inspiración para mi dibujo es el nft de #splinterlands, el Earth Elemental.

The inspiration for my drawing is the #splinterlands nft, the Earth Elemental.

Primero que nada quiero explicar el motivo por el cual me inspire para este dibujo, el motivo fue algo ridículo, fue porque me entere de que hay plantas delicadas, quiero decir delicadas en el sentido de que no se deben estresar mientras están creciendo, porque si no se enferman o se mueren, lo cual es triste, pero me dio la idea y pues me quise retar a realizar algo con la idea de una planta estresada y ver si me quedaba decente, y pues según yo, decente si quedo.

First of all I want to explain the reason why I was inspired for this drawing, the reason was something ridiculous, it was because I found out that there are delicate plants, I mean delicate in the sense that they should not be stressed while they are growing, because if not they get sick or die, which is sad, but it gave me the idea and I wanted to challenge myself to make something with the idea of a stressed plant and see if it was decent, and according to me, it was decent.

La idea era dibujar un árbol con miedo a las alturas, ya ven que el Earth Elemental de #splinterlands se ve muy empoderado e intimidante, pues yo quise imaginármelo asustado, pero no asustado por algo como el fuego o porque se está muriendo o algo de ese estilo, yo quería asustarlo con algo que es demasiado poco probable, algo como miedo a las alturas, sí, tengo entendido que hay árboles delicados que no sobreviven a ciertas alturas o se 'estresan' demasiado y no crecen de acuerdo a como deberían, y pues de ahí se me ocurrió hacer al Earth Elemental asustado o estresado por estar a gran altura.

The idea was to draw a tree afraid of heights, you can see that the Earth Elemental from #splinterlands looks very empowered and intimidating, so I wanted to imagine it scared, but not scared by something like fire or because it is dying or something like that, I wanted to scare it with something that is too unlikely, something like fear of heights, yes, I understand that there are delicate trees that don't survive at certain heights or get 'stressed' too much and don't grow as they should, and so I thought of making the Earth Elemental scared or stressed by being at a high altitude.

Drawing process.

Primero hice una lluvia de ideas en mi cuaderno de bocetos y después pase el boceto que más me gusto a la hoja blanca de mi bloc de dibujo.

First I brainstormed in my sketchbook and then I transferred the sketch I liked the most to the white sheet of my sketchpad

Empecé dibujando un círculo para poder ubicar mejor a nuestro árbol estresado en el centro para así intentar dar a entender que está en la altura.

I started by drawing a circle so that I could better place our stressed tree in the center to try to imply that it is at height.

Después de centrar al Earth Elemental, le dibujé sus características, como su frondosa copa o sus intimidantes 'dedos', así como también su rostro y sus fuertes piernas, para luego delinearlo con lapicero.

After centering the Earth Elemental, I drew its features, such as its leafy crown or its intimidating 'fingers', as well as its face and strong legs, and then outlined it with pencil.

Proseguí con hacerle los detalles al tronco, cabe decir que lo del ojo entrecerrado fue un pequeño accidente, pero no me disgusto tanto, así que continué delineando la roca de donde el Earth Elemental está intentando bajar.

I continued with making the details to the trunk, I must say that the squinting eye was a little accident, but I didn't dislike it so much, so I continued outlining the rock from where the Earth Elemental is trying to get down.

Ya aquí estaba probando los tonos claros predilectos de el Earth Elemental.

Already here I was testing the Earth Elemental's favorite light shades.

En esta parte del coloreado no me decidía, pues tenía varios tonos de verde, incluso un verde agua muy bonito, pero a la final no quise que ocurriera otro 'accidente' así que no lo forcé y lo coloree de esa manera.

In this part of the coloring I couldn't decide, because I had several shades of green, even a very nice water green, but in the end I didn't want another 'accident' to happen, so I didn't force it and colored it that way.

Colorear el tronco fue fácil, y darle los detalles con tonos más oscuros me gusto mucho.

Coloring the trunk was easy, and giving it the details with darker tones I really liked.

Pensé mucho en como hacer que el fondo pareciera estar a una gran altura, pero no tenía muchas ideas para eso, por lo que lo coloree como un bonito cielo con unas pocas nubes. Y la roca fue algo natural al colorear, aunque me preocupaba que quedara sin esa textura común en las rocas montañosas, por lo que use distintos tonos de gris y para finalizar utilice unos toques de color dorado.

I thought a lot about how to make the background appear to be at a high altitude, but I didn't have many ideas for that, so I colored it as a nice sky with a few clouds. And the rock was something natural to color, although I was worried that it would be without that texture common in mountain rocks, so I used different shades of gray and to finish I used some touches of golden color.

Ya culminado el dibujo, me di cuenta de que tengo que practicar más lo de la expresión, pero me gusto el dibujo y por eso lo quise compartir con ustedes a ver que opinan. Pregunta rápida para finalizar... ¿Mi Earth Elementa se ve más incómodo que estresado?, acepto opiniones, sugerencias y críticas. Nos leemos luego.

Once I finished the drawing, I realized that I have to practice more the expression, but I liked the drawing and that's why I wanted to share it with you to see what you think.
