The fun and merits of art for players

I've been thinking about why I should spend time browsing Splinterlands art as as a regular player? Like many, I'm someone who's very much into the game, the economy and general news about the Splinterlands crypto game, even though I'm not an artist myself or even particularly interested in art. It feels like a waste of time, but there's actually something important to use.

By showing these images to our friends who also enjoy the game, we're making the Splinterlands community more fun and involved. Casually copy-pasting the newest art submitted by contest participants in Discord or WhatsApp chat gets everyone more involved. How is such an easy going activatiy going to manage accomplishing such an incredible task? Well, I'm glad you asked.

Have you looked at the Splinterlands Art Contest threads recently? Even if art is not up your alley, it's always fun coming across cards we commonly use ingame manifested in a fan artist's depiction. Just look at last week's first place winning submission.

Lira the Dark drawn by @alexa.art is obviously alluring to our eyes. Sure, we might not pick her in our teams as often as we'd like, but we always feel like she deserves more attention. There she is, atually getting that attention we think she deserves.

The truth behind such contests is that it generates enjoyable content for us from the game's community. The more time people invest into something, the more unwilling they are to part from whatever that is. In this case, it's Splinterlands, so all of us want more of that immersion because it's healthy for the game economy and it makes playing the game more fun.

To prove how meaningful this can be, I'll say this: you might not want to look for the Splinterlands Art Contest thread yourself, but I doubt you'd dislike if someone else showed a couple of nice Splinterlands art to you during a private conversation.

Some of you might want to get more involved, create share of the hype, entice more people. You didn't know how. I have a suggestion for you. Since many of these submissions are enjoyable by anyone even if they have no knowledge of the game whatsoever, you can drop an image in chat saying how you like that Splinterlands character. Do this once a week or twice a month.

Doing this with Splinterlands content will make it slowly crawl into people's heads. Some of them will ask you about Splinterlands or google it by themselves without telling you they got interested, then maybe later ask you for a more specific information after they've done a little bit of research on their own.

Not to mention how some of these art submissions can be used as profile images, showing off how much you're into the game, which makes people think of how interesting the game can be and how players really enjoy the game as whole as part of their lives. It's a fully fledged game after all, so there's no denying it can become a huge hobby for many of us, since it's fun to play Splinterlands.
