Splinterlands Art Contest 262 - BOOGEYMAN FAN ART DRAWING [ENG-ESP]

Hello friends, I hope you are well, this week in the 262nd Splinterlands contest I want to share my contribution with you. I have chosen the BOOGEYMAN card because its design seems excellent to me, it has a very close resemblance to death, because of that outfit he has and because it seems like he is floating. I made it on black cardstock, you know, to give it that macabre and gloomy tone. Hope you like!

Hola amigos espero que se encuentren muy bien, esta semana en el concurso número 262 de Splinterlands quiero compartir mi aporte con ustedes. He escogido la carta de BOOGEYMAN ya que su diseño me parece excelente, tiene un parecido muy cercano con la muerte, por ese atuendo que posee y porque parece que está flotando. Lo hice en cartulina negra, ya saben, para darle ese tono macabro y lúgubre. Espero que les guste!

PROCESS

On my black cardboard drawing pad I already chose one of the last pages, since it is finishing. I did not make any sketches, but rather drew freely using a white prismacolor wax pencil for the first strokes. This is how the shape of the entire body was made, especially so that it would not resemble death even if it had a similarity.

En mi block de dibujo de cartulina negra elegí ya una de las últimas páginas, ya que se está terminando. No hice boceto alguno, sino que dibujé de forma libre utilizando un lápiz de cera prismacolor de color blanco, para los primeros trazos. Así fue haciendo la forma de todo el cuerpo, especialmente para que no se pareciera a la muerte por más que tuviera semejanza.

Having the entire body shape ready, I began to change color, here I started using white charcoal, which I previously mentioned is more intense. With this color I can make the contrast of shadows and highlights better, especially since the lights come from behind to the side.

Al tener toda la forma del cuerpo lista, comencé a cambiar de color, aquí comencé a usar el carboncillo de color blanco, que anteriormente he mencionado que es más intenso. Con este color puedo hacer mejor el contraste de sombras y las luces, especialmente porque las luces vienen desde atrás hacia un costado.

Next I began to color it, in the original design the color red is the predominant color in those shapes that look like eyes, I painted each of these in a combination of yellow, orange and finally red. With this combination I made the face which I tried to make similar to a ghost.

Seguidamente comencé a darle color, en el diseño original el color rojo es el que predomina en esas formas que parecen ojos, cada una de estas los pinto en una combinación de amarillo, naranja y por último de rojo. Con esta combinación hice el rostro el cual lo traté de hacer parecido a un fantasma.

Then I start to invent with colors, this is the part that I like about making fan art, that you let your imagination go very far using colors. Although I used something similar to the original design, I also used some combinations of blue for the dark parts, that is part of the macabre essence of this figure that also matches the dark background on which I decided to paint it. I finish with the extremities, which I make very different as if they were the roots of a dark tree.

Luego comienzo a a inventar con los colores, esta es la parte que me gusta de hacer fan art, que uno deja que la imaginación se vaya muy lejos utilizando los colores. Aunque usé algo parecido al diseño original, utilicé también algunas combinaciones de azules para las partes oscuras, eso forma parte de la escencia macabra de esta figura que hace juego también con el fondo oscuro en el que decidí pintarlo. Finalizo con las extremidades, las cuales las hago muy diferentes como si fueran las raíces de un tenebroso árbol.

FINAL WORK

This is how this Fan Art of BOOGEYMAN was finished, a very cool design, I don't know if anyone ever saw Master Of Universe, there was a character called OrKo, this was an ancient sorcerer who helped He-Man in his fight against the villain Skeletor , its design seems very similar to Boogeyman to me. I hope you liked my contribution, soon I will continue drawing more cards, since I like many of the characters that exist. I say goodbye until a new opportunity!

Así quedo finalizado este Fan Art de BOOGEYMAN un diseño muy genial, no se si alguien vio alguna vez Master Of Universe, había un personaje que se llamaba OrKo, este era un hechicero antiguo que ayudaba a He-Man en su lucha contra el villano Skeletor, su diseño se me hace muy parecido a Boogeyman. Espero que les haya gustado mi aporte, pronto seguiré dibujando más cartas, ya que me gustan muchos los personajes que existen. Me despido hasta una nueva oportunidad!
