I like to participate in the weekly Splinterlands contest, and this time, for contest number 264, I have come to participate with a fan art drawing of the card SABER SHARK, which is a very powerful shark with a very fierce nature, I made my drawing trying to give it a realistic look, so I not only focused on the character but also on the environment, which is a seabed, I hope you like it!

Hola queridos amigos, espero que todos se encuentren muy bien y haciendo lo que más les gusta. A mi me gusta participar en el concurso semanal de Splinterlands, y en esta oportunidad, para el concurso número 264 he venido a participar con un dibujo fan art de la carta SABRE SHARK, el cual es un tiburón muy poderoso y de naturaleza muy fiera, mi dibujo lo hice tratando de darle un aspecto realista, así que no solo me enfoqué en el personaje sino también en el ambiente que es un fondo marino, espero que les guste!

PROCESS

I had doubts about how to do it, whether to do it vertically or horizontally, in the end I ended up drawing it vertically since I wanted to give more prominence to the face, in this case to the teeth although they didn't turn out as I expected. So I made a sketch with a 4h pencil of what would be the head of the fearsome shark.

Tenía dudas de como hacerlo, si hacerlo en forma vertical u horizontal, al final terminé dibujándolo en sentido vertical ya que quería darle mayor protagonismo al rostro, en este caso a los dientes aunque no me quedaron como esperaba. Así que hice un boceto con un lápiz 4h de todo lo que sería la cabeza del temible tiburón.

In the first steps of the drawing I began to draw the upper part of the shark with a gray color, this will be the base that I will use and from there I will begin to use other colors. To make parts of reflections of the light that passes through the water I used white charcoal.

En los primeros pasos del dibujo comencé a dibujar la parte superior del tiburón con un color gris, este será la base que usaré y a partir de ahí comenzaré a usar otros colores. Para hacer partes de reflejos de la luz que atraviesa el agua usé el carboncillo blanco.

In the second I placed more emphasis on the gray color, so I changed to a slightly more blueish tone. This is how I painted the entire upper part, and in the lower part I mixed between pastel colors and some gray colors to make some soft shadows. In the same way I marked again with the white charcoal color.

En el segundo hice más énfasis en el color gris, así que cambié a un tono un poco más azulado. Así fue pintando toda la parte superior, y en la parte inferior fui mezclando entre colores pasteles y algún color gris para hacer algunas sombras suaves. De la misma forma volví a marcar con el color blanco de carboncillo.

Now I start to draw what is most attractive to me, that pile of sharp teeth that devour the flesh as if it were air. I begin to paint some parts red, and I also paint each sharp tooth one by one with white until I finish them all completely.

Ahora comienzo a dibujar lo que tiene más atractivo para mi, ese monton de dientes filosos que devoran la carne como si fuera aire. Comienzo a pintar algunas partes de color rojo, asi mismo voy pintando uno a uno cada filoso diente con color blanco hasta terminarlos todos por completo.

It's the turn of the seabed, I start to paint with a very light turquoise green, and thus I gradually fade towards the darkest part of the sea with darker blue colors. Then I start blending the colors to mix them with each other using a brush.

Es el turno del fondo marino, comienzo a pintar con un verde turquesa muy claro, y así voy haciendo una degradación hacia lo más oscuro del mar con colores azules más oscuros. Luego comienzo a difuminar los colores para mezclarlos unos con otros usando un pincel.

To finish, I also begin to blur the colors of the shark, this way it becomes a little more realistic since the shadows and the skin are accentuated, all full of reliefs, also together with the light reflections on its body.

Para finalizar comienzo a difuminar también los colores del tiburon, así se hace un poco mas realista ya que se acentúan las sombras y la piel toda llena de relieves, unido también con los reflejos de luz sobre su cuerpo.

FINAL WORK

This is how Saber Shark's fan art turned out, it's the first time I've drawn a shark, the only marine animal I've drawn has been dolphins, but this is the first time I've drawn a shark. I was very pleased with the drawing since I feel that I took certain things from the letter while giving it my own touch and thus preserving the original essence. Así ha quedado el fan art de Sabre Shark, es la primera vez que sibujo un tiburon, el único animal marino que he debijuado han sido delfines, pero esta es la primera vez que realizo un tiburón. Quede muy complacido con el dibujo ya que siento que tomé ciertas cosas de la carta mientras le daba mi propio toque y así conservar la escencia original. Espero que les haya gustado como quedó, me despido hasta una nueva oportunidad.
