Splinterlands Art Contest Week 265 - NECTAR QUEEN CYBERPUNK SCULPTURE FAN ART

Hello Friend how are you? I hope everyone is feeling very well, on this occasion, for the 265 contest I want to participate with a sculpture that I made of the Nectar Queen card, before I had made a drawing of this sweet little bee, this time I have made a sculpture with electronic materials, I used To make a PC hard drive that was damaged, I took out all its parts to make the sculpture, the process was very simple and I will show them below.

Deseo que todos se encuentren super bien, en esta oportunidad, par el concurso 265 quiero participar con una escultura que hice de la carta Nectar Queen, antes había realizado un dibujo de esta dulce abejita, esta vez he realizado una escultura con materiales electrónicos,utilicé para hacerlo un disco duro de PC que estaba dañado, saqué todas sus partes para realizar la escultura, el proceso fue muy sencillo y aquí se los muestro a continuación.

PROCESS

As I mentioned before, I took an old hard drive which I disassembled into all its parts to see what I could use. I also added a small light bulb, I thought it was the most convenient to make the bee-shaped body.

Como mencioné antes tomé un viejo disco duro el cual desarmé en todas sus partes para ver que podía utilizar. También agregué un pequeño bombillo, me pareció lo más conveniente para así hacer el cuerpo con forma de abeja.

I also added another piece that was very useful to me, in addition to helping me give the sculpture a futuristic cyberpunk aesthetic, I found a CD player, I took it out and removed the parts that I didn't need, the small player was left facing away. the top part and I also had enough space to put the wings. Then I took the bulb and using hot silicone I joined both parts.

También agregué otra pieza que se me hizo muy útil además de que me iba ayudar en darle la estética cyberpunk futurista a la escultura, encontré un lector para cds, lo saqué y le fui quitando las partes que no necesitaba, el pequeño lector quedó hacia a la parte de arriba y también me quedó espacio suficiente para poner las alas. Luego tomé el bombillo y utilizando silicón caliente junté ambas partes.

Next I made the limbs using aluminum, it was very difficult because aluminum to some extent is difficult to shape, especially for small pieces, but I did my best. Another important thing is that I made the limbs very pointed, as if it were a spider, it seemed more terrifying to me while also looking more robotic.

Seguidamente hice las extremidades usando aluminio, fue muy difícil porque el aluminio hasta cierto punto es complicado darle forma, especialmente para piezas pequeñas, pero hice mi mejor esfuerzo. Otra cosa importante es que las extremidades las hice bien puntiagudas, como si fuera una araña, me pareció mas aterrador a la vez que se ve más robótico.

Then I place each limb one by one, starting with the largest ones that go towards the back, then the limbs that go in the center and finally the front ones. I also made an extra piece, which is what bees use when they are pollinating flowers, which goes on the head, I made this one longer than the limbs and pointed.

Luego voy colocando una a una cada extremidad, comenzando con las más grandes que van hacia la parte trasera, luego las extremidades que van en el centro y por último las delanteras. Hice tambien una pieza extra, que es lo que las abejas utilizan cuando andan polinizando las flores, que va en la cabeza, este lo hice más largo que las extremidades y puntiagudo.

With the tape from the hard drives, I modeled the wings for the Nectar Queen bee, I had to look for several since one was not enough, I cut them in the shape of wings, although I didn't like how it turned out at the ends, it looks more like wings of a wasp. But beyond that I was able to get 4 wings, two large and two small and to join them I made some small pieces of aluminum so that they can be fixed and at the same time from there I can join them to the rest of the body. As a final and very important detail, I added the sting that they have in their tail and which is the only defense of the bees.

Con la cinta de los discos duros modelé las alas de la abeja Reina del Néctar, tuve que buscar varias ya que con una no alcanzaba, las corté en forma de alas, aunque no me gustó como quedó en los extremos, parece más bien alas de avispa. Pero más allá de eso pude conseguir 4 alas, dos grandes y dos pequeñas y para unirlas hice unos trozos pequeños de aluminio para que se puedan fijar y a la vez de ahí poder unirlas al resto del cuerpo. Como detalle final y muy importante, agregué el agujon que llevan en la cola y el cual es la única defensa de las abejas.

FINAL WORK

This is how this cyberpunk style sculpture of the Nectar Queen card, the protagonist of this week, turned out. It is worth mentioning that the sculpture was a bit heavy, electronic materials are difficult to handle, so I made a wooden base for it to stay fixed there and not I get damaged. Así quedó esta escultura estilo cyberpunk de la carta NEctar Queen, la protagonista de esta semana, cabe mencionar que la escultura quedó algo pesada, los materiales electrónicos son difíciles de manjar, así que le hice una base de madera para que quede fija ahi y no se me dañe.
