Hello friends, I hope you are well, on this occasion and different from other occasions I come to participate this weekend in the weekly Splinterlans contest, for edition 266 I have made a drawing of the VULGUINE card, which is a white wolf , very terrifying, with a very fierce roar. I made my fan art turning it into a werewolf, taking werewolves as a reference, so I made that very scary face and using a black background on the paper and also a white pencil, I hope you like it.

Hola amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, en esta oportunidad y diferente a otras ocasiones vengo a participar el fin de semana en concurso semanal de Splinterlans, para el edición 266 he hecho un dibujo de la carta VULGUINE, el cual es un lobo blanco, muy aterrador, con un rugido muy feroz. He realizado mi fan art convirtiéndolo en un hombre lobo, tomando como referencia los hombres lobos, así que hice ese rostro bien aterrador y usando para ello un fondo de color negro en el papel y también el lápiz blanco, espero que les guste.

PROCESS

I made a sketch of a cute little dog, which I then deformed until I got the wolf parts, which are always bigger. Then I began making a sketch for the wolf with a wax pencil, starting from the nose, as well as the huge mouth and its sharp teeth.

Hice el boceto de un tierno perrito, el cual luego lo deformé hasta sacar las partes un lobo, que siempre son más grandes. Luego fui haciendo con un lápiz de cera el boceto para el lobo, comenzando desde la nariz, así por enorme boca y sus afilados dientes.

Then I also made the sketch of the outside of the head, first giving shape to the wolf's face, so that it would not be deformed, which sometimes happens to me. I made the eyes in a monstrous way, that they looked big but where there would only be a flash of light, I made the ears on the top of the head and I made the first strokes of the fur on the face.

Luego hice también el boceto del exterior de la cabeza, primero dándole forma al rostro del lobo, y que no se deformara, cosa que aveces me ocurre. Hice los ojos que quedaran de una forma monstruosa, que se vieran grandes pero donde solo habrá apenas un destello de luz, hice en la parte superior de la cabeza las orejas y fui haciendo los primeros trazos del pelaje en el rostro.

Next I began to fill in the sketch, starting from the nose, and from there towards the entire face in a circular way, I made those expression lines so that the ferocity could be seen very well. For this I used the white charcoal pencil, which is very different from the white wax color because it is more intense in the line.

Seguidamente comencé a rellenar el boceto, comenzando desde la nariz, y desde ahí hacia todo el rostro de forma circular, hice esas líneas de expresión para que se viera muy bien la ferocidad. Para esto utilicé el lápiz carboncillo blanco, el cual se diferencia mucho del color blanco de cera por ser más intenso en el trazo.

In the same way that I began to fill in the face at the nose, I went towards the upper part and also made expression lines, I wanted to show the well-marked ferocity of this wolf. I also started painting the sharp fangs and also making the first strokes for the fur on the face.

De la misma forma que comencé a rellenar el rostro en la nariz así fui haciendo hacia la parte superior y tambien fui haciendo líneas de expresión, queria hacer ver la ferocidad bien marcada de este lobo. También comencé a pintar los afilados colmillos y tambien a hacer los primeros trazos para el pelaje del rostro.

Then, continuing with the same strokes I begin to make all the fur, which I do taking the card as a reference since I really like how it is designed, so little by little I tried to cover most of it. On the right side of the drawing I used the white wax color since I wanted to make that part darkened by the shadow, and for the light to come from the left side. This is how I did the rest of the hair on the body, giving the wolf an upright posture like a werewolf.

Después, siguiendo con los mismos trazos comienzo a hacer todo el pelaje, el cual lo hago tomando como referencia la carta ya que me gusta mucho como está diseñado, así que poco a poco fui tratando de cubrir la mayor parte. En el lado derecho del dibujo utilicé el color blanco de cera ya que quise hacer esa parte oscurecida por la sombra, y que la luz venga por el lado izquierdo. Así fui haciendo el resto del pelo del cuerpo, le fui dando una postura erguida al lobo como un hombre lobo.

To finish, I put the finishing touches, using black to reinforce the shadows on the body and also the expression lines on the face. I used a gray color to make a light trail behind the wolf, while on the front of the body I used black color, with this contrast you can notice the shape of the scary werewolf.

Para finalizar doy los últimos toques, utilizando color negro para reforzar las sombras en el cuerpo y también las líneas de expresión en el rostro. Utilicé un color gris para hacer un rastro de luz detrás del lobo, mientras que en la parte frontal del cuerpo usé color negro, con este contraste se puede notar la forma del hombre lobo aterrador.

FINAL WORK

This is how my fan art of the VULGUINE card turned out, I achieved my goal, to transform it into a werewolf, in the end I added red, but I did it as a reflection of light, in order to maintain the essence of the character, I think I did a good job job. I hope you liked my contribution, it is always a real pleasure to be able to share with you, until a new opportunity I say goodbye.

Así quedó mi fan art de la carta VULGUINE, logré mi cometido, de transformarlo en un hombre lobo, al final agregué color rojo, pero lo hice como un reflejo de la luz, para así mantener la esencia del personaje, creo que hice un buen trabajo.
