Recordando orgullosamente el extraordinario esfuerzo operacional y logistico realizado por la Guardia Nacional, y específicamente por el Comando de Apoyo Aéreo, para la construcción y el sostenimiento del puesto de vigilancia y presencia soberana en donde nace el rio Orinoco, erradicando la presencia de Garimpeiros depredadores y asistiendo a los pobladores nativos. Todos los materiales de construccion y personal de ingenieria fueron transportados por via aérea durante 1995 a 1997, lograndose edificar una llamativa, confortable y digna edificacion para el funcionamiento de esa iconica unidad del servicio fronterizo y de Guardería Ambiental, mas la preservacion del patrimonio nacional. Cuando Venezuela aún no poseía aviación de ningún tipo, en Enero de 1920 éste aviador italiano (excombatiente en la 1ra Guerra Mundial) llegó con tres (3) aviones de su propiedad y realizó demostraciones públicas tal como ésta en el hipódromo de El Paraiso con esos desconocidos artefactos voladores, logrando entusiasmar al gobierno de General Juan Vicente Gomez para que ese mismo año siendo 17 de Abril creara la aviación en nuestro país, fundando la Escuela de Aviación Militar que se activó el 10 de Diciembre de 1920. Asi fué el comienzo.

When Venezuela still had no aviation of any kind, in January 1920 this Italian aviator (ex-combatant in the 1st World War) arrived with three (3) airplanes of his property and made public demonstrations such as this one in the racetrack of El Paraiso with those unknown flying artifacts, managing to excite the government of General Juan Vicente Gomez so that that same year on April 17th he created the aviation in our country, founding the School of Military Aviation that was activated on December 10th, 1920. That was the beginning.

Con dos (2) aviones modelo LATECOERE LATE 28 se estableció en Venezuela (Maracay) en 1929 la 1ra Linea Aérea para transporte de pasajeros, carga y correos , siendo franquicia de la francesa "Compagnie Generale Aeropostale", con todo el personal de vuelo y mantenimiento de origen Frances. En 1933 el gobierno venezolano compró todos los derechos y activos y fundó la "Linea Aeropostal Venezolana", incorporando tres (3) aviones adicionales del mismo modelo para completar cinco (5) y contratando al personal francés para volar como tripulaciones mixtas con pilotos venezolanos formados en la Escuela de Aviacion Militar, hasta alcanzar experiencia suficiente para desarrollarse como empresa aeronautica tal como asi fue con el correr del tiempo.

With two (2) aircraft model LATECOERE LATE 28 was established in Venezuela (Maracay) in 1929 the 1st Air Line for transport of passengers, cargo and mail, being franchise of the French "Compagnie Generale Aeropostale", with all the flight and maintenance personnel of French origin. In 1933 the Venezuelan government bought all the rights and assets and founded the "Linea Aeropostal Venezolana", incorporating three (3) additional airplanes of the same model to complete five (5) and hiring French personnel to fly as mixed crews with Venezuelan pilots trained at the Escuela de Aviacion Militar, until reaching enough experience to develop as an aeronautical company as it was with the passing of time.
