BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge: Counterspell

Another week and another Splinterlands challenge, this time, the "Battle Rule" selected is: Counterspell, which consists in that all the cards that are on the battlefield start having the ability "Magic Reflect", so, the magic attacks are reflected (as its name says) and in this way, impact on that card that has made the attack. But before showing today's battle, I have to say something that has been stressing me since last season and that is that I do not really know what is happening with Splinterlands that the battles have increased in difficulty ridiculously, at least every 5 of 10 battles, I lose consecutively with strategies that seem that the enemy (most bot accounts) knew any perfect strategy to counter my strategy. The exaggerated automation that is currently in Splinterlands is not pleasing me at all, as it leaves no room to create strategies in a natural way, but anyway, that would be a topic that I would like to talk about with a post dedicated to that. But leaving that aside, momentarily, this is the battle of the day with the Battle Rule: Counterspell.

In this battle, since I had very little mana available, I had to put together a strategy that would allow me to use the best cards according to the amount of mana available, that's why I devised this strategy using the summoner Zintar Mortalis, so I could diminish any Melee type card used by my opponent. And also, because of that, in first position I placed a card whose role is the "tank card" able to withstand a lot of enemy damage, but not only was it enough that it could resist, I also needed to have some defensive ability to cause damage to the cards of my opponent, that's why the perfect choice was: RIFTWING, a card that has a set of excellent skills such as: "Flying", with which it would be able to evade attacks of the type Melee and Range Attack and this ability is complemented very well with his other ability, which is: "Backfire", with which at the time that any card of my opponent fails his attack, this received damage, but in addition, RIFTWING also has a third ability, which is: Scavenger, in this way, it will increase its maximum life every time a card is eliminated, reaching the point of obtaining in the last round, about 11 points of life, a total tank.

In the next two positions, since I wanted to cause as much damage as possible, I placed cards with the "Sneak" ability, being the first of them: SKELETON ASSASSIN, a card that not only has a low mana cost (like the card in third position), but also has a very high speed score, being a very fast card and equally lethal thanks to its ability.

Ability that also possesses the card that is in third position, which is: URAEUS, is unlike SKELETON ASSASSIN, is not so fast, but still has three (3) points of speed, so it has a pretty good speed, being these two cards a perfect combination for this particular battle.

And since at this point there were no more mana points available, in the last two positions there are cards with zero (0) mana cost, the first of them being: CORPSE FIEND.

While the second card of zero (0) mana cost and last card in this formation is the classic: FURIOUS CHICKEN. In this way I would completely close this strategy, being these last two cards, as "sacrifice cards" (a term I like to use), since being in that position, I would watch my back, so to speak, and thus in this way they receive the damage that could harm me to a card that I would not want to be eliminated.

Otra semana y otro reto de Splinterlands, esta vez, la “Regla de Batalla” seleccionada es: Counterspell, la cual consisten en que todas las cartas que se encuentren en el campo de batalla inician teniendo la habilidad “Magic Reflect”, por lo que, los ataques mágicos son reflejados (como bien dice su nombre) y de esta manera, impactan en esa carta que haya realizado el ataque. Pero antes de mostrar la batalla del día de hoy, tengo que decir algo que me ha estado estresando desde la temporada pasada y es que no se realmente que está pasando con Splinterlands que las batallas han aumentado de dificultad de manera ridícula, al menos cada 5 de 10 batallas, las pierdo consecutivamente con estrategias que parecieran que el enemigo (la mayoría de las cuentas bot) supiera cualquiera la estrategia perfecta para contrarrestar mi estrategia. La automatización exagerada que hay actualmente en Splinterlands no me está gustando para nada, ya que no deja lugar a crear estrategias de manera natural, pero en fin, eso sería un tema que me gustaría hablar con un post dedicado a eso. Pero dejando eso a un lado, momentáneamente, esta es la batalla del día con la Regla de Batalla: Counterspell.

En esta batalla al contar con poquísima cantidad de mana a disposición, debía armar una estrategia que me permitiera usar las mejores cartas según la cantidad de mana disponible, es por eso que idee esta estrategia usando al invocador Zintar Mortalis, de esta manera poder menguar cualquier carta del tipo Melee que use mi contrincante. Y también, debido eso, en primera posición coloqué una carta cuyo rol sea la “carta tanque” capaz de soportar gran cantidad de daño enemigo, pero no solo me bastaba con que pudiera resistir, también necesitaba que tuviera alguna habilidad defensiva para poder causar daño a las cartas de mi contrincante, es por eso que la perfecta opción fue: RIFTWING, una carta que posee un conjunto de excelentes habilidades como: “Flying”, con la cual sería capaz de evadir ataques del tipo Melee y Ataque de Rango y dicha habilidad se complementa muy bien con su otra habilidad, la cual es: “Backfire”, con la cual al momento de que alguna carta de mi contrincante falle su ataque, esta recibida daño, pero además, RIFTWING también cuenta con una tercera habilidad, la cual es: Scavenger, de esta forma, aumentara su vida máxima cada vez que una carta sea eliminada, llegando al punto de obtener en el último round, unos 11 puntos de vida, un total tanque.

En las dos siguientes posiciones, ya que quería causar el mayor daño posible, coloque cartas con la habilidad “Sneak”, siendo la primera de ellas: SKELETON ASSASSIN, una carta que no solo tiene un bajo coste de mana (al igual que la carta en tercera posición), sino que también cuenta con un puntaje de velocidad bastante elevado, siendo una carta muy veloz e igualmente letal gracias a su habilidad.

Habilidad que también posee la carta que se encuentra en tercera posición, la cual es: URAEUS, está a diferencia de SKELETON ASSASSIN, no es tan veloz, pero aun así cuenta con tres (3) puntos de velocidad, por lo que tiene una velocidad bastante buena, siendo estas dos cartas una combinación perfecta para esta batalla en particular.

Y ya que para este punto no contaba con más puntos de mana disponibles, en las dos últimas posiciones se encuentran cartas con cero (0) coste de mana, siendo la primera de ellas: CORPSE FIEND.

Mientras que la segunda carta de cero (0) coste de mana y última carta en esta formación es, la clásica: FURIOUS CHICKEN. De esta forma cerraría por completo esta estrategia, siendo esta dos últimas cartas, como “cartas sacrificio” (un término que me gusta usar), ya que al estar en esa posición, me cuidaría las espaldas, por decirlo de algún modo, y así de esta manera ellas reciben el daño que me podría perjudicar a alguna carta que no quisiera que fuese eliminada.
