Battles of The Day: Whistling Damon [ENG-ESP]

One of the Battle Rules that appear less frequently (at least for me) is the "Are You Not Entertained" rule, which means that we can use at least one card from the Gladiator set in our formation, being this a type of cards exclusive for Guild battles or at least if you use one of the most recent summoners. In this set there are extremely powerful cards, which I like to use whenever I have the opportunity, one of those cards, although it is not really very powerful can become so thanks to one of his skills, which is "Bloodlust", which is that the card that has this ability, to eliminate any enemy card will get +1 in all its stats, so it can become extremely powerful. That is why today, the main card will be WHISTLING DAMON, which in its base state is quite normal, but has the potential to be a very strong card.

The two battles of today are very different from each other, although between battles share some cards in common at the end I use totally different strategies depending on the situation, so for this first battle, the strategy was as follows: In first position I placed the classic card HAUNTED SPIRIT, a card of the Melee type that I use a lot in my strategies, it is one of the oldest cards in my collection that I use the most in my battles, it has always seemed extremely useful due to its set of skills and general stats. This battle is composed of Melee, Magic Attack and Rank Attack cards. Occupying the following two positions are Magic Attack type cards, one of them and occupying the second position is: BOOGEYMAN, a good card, although with little speed that has the abilities "Slow" and "Rust" being these two abilities that can become very useful in almost all types of battles, all depending on the Battle Rule that is active at the time. In third position is: UNDEAD PRIEST, a card that in addition to having the "Slow" ability, also has a second ability, which is "Weaken" allowing it to reduce the vitality of enemy cards and although it is not a very strong card in terms of damage, it compensates with its abilities.

In the next two positions are composed by cards of the Rank Attack type, being the first of them and occupying the fourth position is the protagonist card of today, which is: WHISTLING DAMON, a card that as I mentioned above has the ability "Bloodlust", an ability that can allow it to become a very powerful card by eliminating by itself an enemy card, but also has a second ability which is: "Snipe". And the next card in position also has the aforementioned ability and that card is: TWISTED JESTER, one of my oldest faces in my collection and one of my favorites a few years ago, also has a second ability that allows it to dodge Melee and Ranged Attack attacks. And to close this formation, in last position is: CORPSE FIEND, which not having more mana to use in cards, I chose to use this card because it has a 0 mana cost and thus I take care of at least one attack the rear of my formation.

This second battle despite sharing some cards that were in the first formation, in itself, is a totally different strategy, since the major axis of attack is composed of cards of the Rank Attack type, so the formation of this second battle was as follows: In first position I placed the card: RIFTWING, which is a card that can fulfill the role of "Tank Card" almost perfectly, especially against Melee and Rank Attack type cards thanks to its main ability "Flying", however against Rank Attack type cards it is quite weak. In the next two positions are composed of cards of 0 mana cost, being the first of them, a card that was in the formation of the first battle, which is: CORPSE FIEND, little I have to say about this card that I have not said before, so I will continue with the next card, which occupies the third position and that card is: FURIOUS CHICKEN, one of the most classic cards of all Splinterlands, a card that despite its "weakness" I have been able to win a lot of battles thanks to it (and also with a lot of luck) despite its "weakness" this must be one of the most used cards of the whole game, at least it must be in the top 10.

And the next three positions are composed by cards of the Rank Attack type, the first of them and occupying the fourth position is the protagonist card of today: WHISTLING DAMON, a card that again fulfilled its role of attacking card very well, causing great damage and eliminating an enemy card, although I would have liked to have eliminated one more card to further enhance its stats. In the penultimate position is also TWISTED JESTER, which like WHISTLING DAMON managed to fulfill its role, so there is not much to contribute about this card. However, what I consider the MVP card of this battle is: HAUNTED SPIRIT, which thanks to its ability poisoned the enemy HAUNTED SPIRIT, which was the card that could hurt me the most in this battle, but luckily thanks to that poisoning could be eliminated quickly, thus giving me the victory in this battle.

Una de las Reglas de Batalla que aparecen con menos frecuencia (al menos para mí) es la regla “Are You Not Entertained”, la cual consiste en que podremos usar al menos una carta del set Gladiator en nuestra formación, siendo esta un tipo de cartas exclusivas para las batallas de Guild o al menos que utilices alguno de los más recientes invocadores. En este set hay cartas extremadamente poderosas, las cuales me gusta utilizar siempre que tengo la oportunidad, una de esas cartas, aunque realmente no es muy poderosa puede llegar a serlo gracias a una de sus habilidades, la cual es “Bloodlust”, la cual consiste en que la carta que posea esta habilidad, al eliminar alguna carta enemiga obtendrá +1 en todos sus stats, por lo que puede llegar a ser extremadamente poderosa. Es por eso que el día de hoy, la carta protagonista será WHISTLING DAMON, la cual en su estado base es bastante normal, pero tiene la posibilidad de ser una carta muy fuerte.

La dos batallas del día de hoy son muy diferentes entre ellas, aunque entre las batallas comparten algunas cartas en común al final utilice estrategias totalmente diferentes según la situación, por lo que para esta primera batalla, la estrategia fue la siguiente: En primera posición coloque a la carta clásica HAUNTED SPIRIT, una carta del tipo Melee que utilizo muchísimo en mis estrategias, es de las cartas más antiguas de mi colección que más utilizo en mis batallas, siempre me ha parecido extremadamente útil debido a su set de habilidades y stats generales. Esta batalla está compuesta por cartas Melee, Ataque Mágico y Ataque de Rango. Ocupando las siguientes dos posiciones cartas del tipo Ataque Mágico, una de ellas y ocupando la segunda posición se encuentra: BOOGEYMAN, una carta buena, aunque con poca velocidad que cuenta con las habilidades “Slow” y “Rust” siendo estas dos habilidades que pueden llegar a ser muy útiles en casi todo tipo de batallas, todo dependiendo de la Regla de Batalla que se encuentre activa en ese momento. En tercera posición se encuentra: UNDEAD PRIEST, una carta que además de también contar con la habilidad “Slow”, también cuenta con una segunda habilidad, la cual es “Weaken” permitiéndole reducir la vitalidad de las cartas enemigas y aunque en si no es una carta muy fuerte a nivel de daño, lo compensa con sus habilidades.

En las dos siguientes posiciones están compuestas por cartas del tipo Ataque de Rango, siendo la primera de ellas y ocupando la cuarta posición se encuentra la carta protagonista del día de hoy, la cual es: WHISTLING DAMON, una carta que como anteriormente mencioné cuenta con la habilidad “Bloodlust”, una habilidad que le puede permitir convertirse en una carta muy poderosa al eliminar por si misma a una carta enemiga, pero además, también cuenta con una segunda habilidad la cual es: “Snipe”. Y la siguiente carta en posición también cuenta con la antes mencionada habilidad y esa carta es: TWISTED JESTER, una de mis caras más antiguas de mi colección y una de mis favoritas hace algunos años atrás, también cuenta con una segunda habilidad que le permite poder esquivar ataques del tipo Melee y de Ataque de Rango. Y para cerrar esta formación, en última posición se encuentra: CORPSE FIEND, la cual al no contar con más mana para utilizar en cartas, opte por usar esta carta ya que tiene un costo 0 de mana y de esta forma cuido de al menos un ataque la retaguardia de mi formación.

Esta segunda batalla a pesar de compartir algunas cartas que estuvieron en la primera formación, en sí, es una estrategia totalmente diferente, ya que el mayor eje de ataque está compuesto por cartas del tipo Ataque de Rango, por lo que la formación de esta segunda batalla fue la siguiente: En primera posición coloqué a la carta: RIFTWING, la cual es una carta que puede cumplir el rol de “Carta Tanque” casi a la perfección, especialmente ante cartas del tipo Melee y Ataque de Rango gracias a su habilidad principal “Flying”, sin embargo ante cartas del tipo Ataque de Rango es bastante débil. En las dos siguientes posiciones están compuestas por cartas de 0 coste de mana, siendo la primera de ellas, una carta que estuvo en la formación de la primera batalla, la cual es: CORPSE FIEND, poco tengo que decir sobre esta carta que no haya dicho anteriormente, por lo que continuare con la siguiente carta, la cual ocupa la tercera posición y esa carta es: FURIOUS CHICKEN, una de las cartas más clásicas de todo Splinterlands, una carta que a pesar de su “debilidad” he podido ganar un montón de batallas gracias a ella (y también con mucha suerte) a pesar de su “debilidad” esta debe ser una de las cartas más usadas de todo el juego, al menos debe estar en el top 10.

Y en las siguientes tres posiciones están compuestas por cartas del tipo Ataque de Rango, la primera de ellas y ocupando la cuarta posición se encuentra la carta protagonista del día de hoy: WHISTLING DAMON, una carta que nuevamente cumplió muy bien con su rol de carta atacante, causando gran daño y eliminando a una carta enemiga, aunque me hubiese gustado que pudiera haber eliminado alguna carta más para así potenciar aún más sus stats. En la penúltima posición también se encuentra nuevamente TWISTED JESTER, que al igual que WHISTLING DAMON logro cumplir con su rol, por lo que en si no hay mucho que aportar sobre esta carta. Sin embargo, la que considero la carta MVP de esta batalla es: HAUNTED SPIRIT, la cual gracias a su habilidad enveneno al HAUNTED SPIRIT enemigo, la cual era la carta que más me podría hacer daño en esta batalla, pero por suerte gracias a ese envenenamiento pudo ser eliminada con rapidez, de esta forma dándome la victoria en esta batalla.
